So, yeah, in short, I'm a VFX artist and an anime fan and I've been interested in the Video Toaster and it's influence both as an early digital paint/compositing/editing tool, as well as it's usage in fansubbing of anime. This summer an A2000HD with 540MB SCSI drive came up about a 2hr drive away and me and friends took a road trip to pick it up from the seller.

While it was purchased working and demonstrated for me before handing over the cash, it had no peripherals or the like, so at the moment it's basically useless to me. Hopefully over the next year or so I'll be able to add a Video Toaster and some other 'quality of life' upgrades to make it easier to use in the 21st century. First goals are USB mouse and keyboard options and a Floppy EMU. After that probably a SD to SCSI type thing to make the machine solid state.

So... Heya. :) I have no idea what I'm doing. But hopefully by next spring I can have a full VHS/analog fansubbing setup to demonstrate at an a local anime convention.
