Can you do a measurement for me?

run in quake console:
timedemo demo1.dem
using:
aga
your 100MHz 060
software rendering.
320x256 processor chunky to planar processing
1x1 pixels

I´d like to know if it is double the framerate of my 50MHz 060 :)
My score is 6.40 fps.

Sure seems like it is very cpu bound because at 2x2 pixels I get 8.8fps.

someone already asked the same question.
if you look in one of the vids that i posted, mine is 15.31fps in ntsc and pal screenmode you asked for and yes its in 1x1 and yes its in 256 colour aga.:)
i have just ran the timedemo in 2x2 mode(which makes the game look like alien breed 3d) and i got 21.97fps
all times are at 100% screen size.
if your using aga try using a ntsc mode it will be slightly faster on a redraw:)

if your interested the game is very fpu intensive indeed.

clickbooms version is slightly better than the one on aminet but not by much, they are both badly optimised in my opinion.
this can be shown by changing the c2p routine in the menu in the clickboom version and see it do nothing to the speed of the game.

also please remember the amigas custum chipset isent really upto doing these sort of fps games, and going by that alone im very impressed that it works at all.

I got 7.6 fps in ntsc mode so comparing to your score it scales quite linearly with the clockspeed of the 060.

to get a little more out of it you could try scalling the screen size down to about 80% which will make it a bit more playable.:)

i wouldent go 2x2 it wouldent be very easy on your eyes.
