Hey,

Just wanted to say Hi to everyone, signed up looking for a few bits and bobs.
In particular I am on the hunt for some 64pin GVP memory.

So if you have any please let me know :D

A bit about me, im 36, have 2 young kids and live in Herts.
I was heavily in to the Amiga scene in the 90s and used to run a gaming website + IRC channels. One of which was officially approved by Amiga Inc and I had a good relationship with the staff back then before things went bad.

I remember running one of the first live chats with Amiga Inc on IRC and spoke to the guys directly. But that's a long time ago :)

As part of the relationship I had when Amiga Inc went under I got a few goodies from a kindly gentleman (who I would like to find out how he is getting on) so I am the proud owner of a few bits of amiga items such as stickers, can of coke, lighters, matches, even a pair of socks, I have a badge/pin (small black one with Amiga on it) of some kind, might be a cufflink or tie pin, not sure, boing badges etc.

Plus I have a bit of Amiga hardware which I am slowly selling on so that other Amiga users can use it (1200 1mb memory card, gvp 1208 scsi) and as soon as I get some GVP ram I will be selling my blizzard/4.

I also have a 8mb ram card but it's stopped working, comes up with a hardware error and keeps resetting when the memory is removed, plugged in it doesnt boot up. Could be a jumper and faulty ram, dunno but that's another post for another day!

Currently I own a A1200, 3.5 OS, 020 28mhz. Like to mess with it when the kids allow me, looking to get it back in to top shape as atm the RF output is not working (having to use A520 box) and the floppy is not working :(

Anyway hope to chat with a few of you one day.

welcome:)

get yourself a rgb cable and do away with rf its rubbish, thank me later:lol:
(sort of wondering why your not using the compisite connector on the 1200,but hay ho)

open a wanted add for the floppy drive there reasonably cheap.(you can also use one from the 600)

It's been a long time since I dusted my 1200 off, last time I had it properly set up I had an old tv and the RF output worked fine. (And no scart or composite input on it :/ ).

However with the TV's we have these days It would be a solid bet, I was actually considering buying a new motherboard and completely re-doing the setup so it worked perfectly (saw someone was selling 5 the other week on here) :) But I would consider composite cables if anyone has any.

Mind you hoping the Scanjuggler XAGA comes out soon at a decent price, that will solve everything! Be like a completely new system at 1028 x 768!

Yeah one of the reasons I signed up was to find bits like the floppy drive, had been checking ebay for ages but the volume of kit is not there any more, I used to be able to go on and find anything, every cloud as they say :)

I know I can get one for £20 brand new off amigakit, just sorting priorities, want the GVP simm first so I can get the 030/40 working (fires up a treat and boots WB in no time, kinda pointless though when the blizzard has 4mb on it and runs faster than a A3000/25 so badly need that memory!!)

Then I get sell the blizzard and fund the floppy drives and anything else.

Appreciate the input and heads up about the cable :D

cvbs cables(composite) with stereo audio are dirt cheap,i would still use rgb over his though.

comp cable:

rgb cable:

or,you could make your own(sure,it takes a bit of work),or,there are threads on here for rgb cables(pre made).:D

yeah,im waiting for the xaga to come out.

also the indi mk2 is on sale now.

and even then there are still more options for this as well.
