I really wanted one and the general consensus was that they are very impressive pieces of kit due to their power. Controls are a bit meh and there can be issues with the battery/overheating. I wanted one mainly for DC emulation and that isn't all its cracked up to be so decided to get a Nvidia Shield instead which is the muttsicles nuttsicles.

I have one. They are well worth it for the emulation. I found it abit of a pain to setup but that's just because I'm not keen on the android system full stop. But once you get used to it, it's a pleasure to use. And it's all about the games. They run brilliant, not all 100 %, some minor bugs and glitches but hey the ones that work far outweigh the very minor bugs. Psx and dreamcast very impressive. Also you have the android games themselves which is a nice bonus. Get one !!!!

I have one and it's brilliant. I spend 3 hours on the train every day and have been using it for 6 months pretty much every day with no issues whatsoever. The battery lasts a good 6 hours between charges. I'm not really interested in 'next gen' games but it plays NES-N64 era games no problem. The build quality is great, by far the best I've seen on one of these 'unbranded' consoles, and I've had a few eg the Dingoo. My only gripe is that the sound through headphones on my unit is crap, but it's a minor quibble.

I don't have one, but I do have an Archos GamePad 2, which has the same guts, size, etc., and for a while was the cheaper option. They are fantastic for retro stuff, and the included firmware feature for mapping touch controls to the physical ones for games that don't support gamepads natively works very well.

Add in the Amazon Appstore for Android, which very often features games as the freebie-of-the-day, and it's a pretty nice deal.

I've got a Wikipad from ebuyer £60 ,amazing bit of kit.
Amazing control panel it plugs into ,like a giant gamegear.

That's decided then, thanks guys 'n' gals. Order will be placed on Friday (aka payday)

Portable retro here I come!

Well the JXD arrived yesterday. And it is awesome. I am amazed it emulates a DC and can reproduce the virtual tennis games in anything like a playable way. Wow, just wow.

It is Amazing what the JXD S7800B Handheld can do as it got quadcore with 2GB Ram!
