Thanks for the well wishes folks. Still waiting for the 400lb man to arrive & have the relevant length of Polished Hickory waiting for him, including the rubber ring Bas.

Diagnosis is my last two lumber sections are a bit fubar. The 2 vertebrae are showing signs of wear & the two discs are also squashed somewhat. The back man couldn't twist me much today for the agony im still in, but at least I can walk around now & only look like Yoda for about 3 seconds after standing up.
On strict instructions not to lift anything or change direction too quickly. With the next visit in a fortnights time, I'm almost £200 lighter for it. :|

Whilst my wallet might be gone for a while, I'm back....

Welcome back Charlie,

Take all the precautions and listen to his advice , my dad had 1 slipped disc which put him flat out for 18 months as they couldn`t do anything with it.

If it is any comfort, some people overcome there backproblems for sure. (one of my uncles had several at 45 age problems (bones) what is between them to etc)

He is 73 and know serving beers and food to have some extra money alive and kicking, and happy

I did not wish you well, but hope you are one of those lucky man in a couple of years.
