Any news from shipping, etc?
Package has been shipped, the postal service has a few days of inactivity due to easter though.

EDIT1: No wait a minute, I can’t find a confirmation message here on Amibay that you have paid, I have to check the status, will send you a PM soon!

EDIT2: Damn, I missed your payment sent message, it was the last message of the previous page. I will send you the kits today or tomorrow. Sorry for the delay, good thing you asked!

Still haven’t received any shipping information...
Too bad because I’ve received this week from eBay the cables and the pads... just need the PCBs now. :P
Thank you.

Hi, I sent you the package a week ago, it will take some time to arrive in Australia though.

Thank you for telling me now. Sorry to ask. Usually I receive PMs with this info from sellers... cheers.

Okay, now I'm in the right thread. :-)

I'd like 2x PCBs and 2x components, please. No Atmega needed.
Shipping to Germany.

Thanks,
Torsten

Just wanted to say, that these boards and component packs are very nicely made. Everything is clearly labelled which makes it a pleasure to assemble the whole thing in about 45 minutes. The board fits the INNEXT controller case perfectly.

Only two tips/remarks that probably should go to the instructions:

1) If you, like me, program the Atmega yourself, be aware that newer versions of avrdude don't allow the E-fuse to be burned to 0x05 as a value. If you try to do this verification will return 0xfd, which is just fine as it turns out, because it means the same as 0x05.

2) Be very careful when soldering in the oscillator. This small package easily gets heat saturated and if it does, the crystal dies (One of mine did, unfortunately, while I was trying to align it during soldering). Just align it very carefully on the pads BEFORE starting to solder and keep your dwell time to a minimum.

Anyway, great work @witchmaster!

Just my 2 cents,
Torsten

Thanks for the feedback! I will add these things to the instructions, I will probably also make a small troubleshooting guide. Most problems so far has come down to solder bridges or otherwise "sloppy"soldering.

I really don't have any soldering skills. Is it possible to purchase the board prepopulated with the components?
Thanks in advance,
Cole

Will this work on a C64?
Yes, with some restrictions. I have just now developed a new version that is fully compatible with the C64 (with two button functionality in some games with an adapter). I will create new threads here for that version shortly.

You can read about the new version here: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=98935
