Awesome work!

Just a quick question regarding DELL 2007FPb
IMG_20250814_155303.webp
Maybe You already had it on Your desktop? It should support 15Khz by default (since it has Video & S-Video inputs), but nope, it doesn't...
Quick search didn't shown 15khz support, yet I like this monitor very very much, quality of the picture is excellent, would nice to have it for 15khz...

Declaring interest on the Option 1 for Dell P1917S.

If I purchase option 1 can I then do multiple monitors of the same type? I want to use them to replace tubes in my arcade cabinets when they brake

-Pricing is per monitor, with some volume discount. Please check the first post.

-You'll have hard time or unsatisfactory results using them in arcade cabinets as these are specifically tuned for Amiga and Atari ST. Perhaps have a look at something like Arcooda, which might suit you better?

- You forgot to press declare interest button :P Also, please note support for Dell is quite new and it appears there's a bunch of variations. For now it's known P1917Sc can be modded well. P1917Sf models are made by Foxconn (P1917Sc by TPV) and already have some kind of 15kHz support.

I successfully applied the firmware update to an Acer B196L, purchased here in the US. Really appreciated drugkito's suggestions and quick responses. This was a fun little project! Positive feedback provided.

Thanks for your honesty. Arcooda is a bit expensive and also almost never in stock. I’ll probably go the Ossc way then. The reason i would prefer dell over the others is because it has an ips panel

Declaring interest in option 1

I have an Acer V176L, but I can't get into service menu to find firmware version.
I have connected ok with Dumper, but Patcher just displays User data missing, so not sure if it can be done with option 1

Monitor needs to be connected to a video source prior trying to enter the service menu.
You can also send me the dumped firmware, I'll compare it to already known ones, see if it matches any.

As for the procedure with patcher, I'll send you a pm later and we can continue there.

@drugkito were there any updates for Acer 17 inch since we tried to modify a few months ago and it wasn't successful due to unsupported scaler chipset? Any new chipsets included in the fix that you might have figured out? Cheers.
P.S. model P1917S

Re Acer -> Not really m8. This entire thing is pretty much in the same state as back then, didn't toy much with it meanwhile.
The latest developments were some internal changes, support for some variants of Dell P1917S and new setup disk.

Thanks, I should of tried that, but didn't have another VGA source (other than Amiga) readily available. I have now accessed service menu. Firmware is V176L- -A-13 04 17-01 same as listed in the V176L thread, so will wait for your PM

Thanks. It seems Acer sold in US are doomed with unsupported firmware.
