The way to leave feedback has changed in Xenforo.

Hopefully the information below will assist you in leaving feedback for your transactions.

There are two ways to leave feedback but they both operate in a similar fashion.

1. Locate the thread you want to leave feedback for.

2. Click on the 'Add Feedback' link

3. Complete the Feedback Panel that pops up

The Thread Required contains a drop down list of valid threads that you can choose from.

4. Once you've completed the Feedback Panel click 'Add Feedback'

The other way is to view the profile of the member you wish to leave feedback for.

'Select Feedback Stats' and at the bottom of the view click 'Add Feedback'

The Feedback Panel will then pop up for you to complete as above.

Guideline on when to leave each type of Feedback.

For the most part it's pretty obvious what type of Feedback should be left for buyers and sellers, however, sometimes different members have different ideas about what positive, neutral and negative feedback means.

Therefore here is a very quick run through on when you should leave each type of feedback.

Positive Feedback = A Successfully transaction has been completed. (Money was sent by the buyer and the item was received from the seller).

Neutral Feedback = When a non-completed transaction took place, and both parties agreed to dissolve the transaction. Or if a transaction finally concluded successfully, but after mediation.

Negative Feedback = If the buyer didn't send the money, if the seller didn't send the item, if the item was not as described.

However, please always try to resolve such situations between yourself and the other party before leaving negative feedback. If you can come to an agreement to settle any problems with a transaction, then neutral feedback would be preferable. Negative Feedback should only be a last resort if something very bad went wrong with a transaction. Please always try to get advice and help from the Amibay staff before reaching this point.

How I know that the other person received his/her feedback I left for him/her, and will get a notification when I receive mine?

You can see the feedback you have left and yes, you'll get an alert notification to say the member has left you feedback.

Hi, I left some feedback today using the add feedback button and it sent 2 feedback posts. Is this a bug or did I stuff up somehow?
Scrolled down the feedback for the seller and noticed there were quite a few double ups from other buyers as well.

I can see there is duplicate feedback left for tbtorro.

@davideo @comraider you may want to look into this(y)

We've seen at least one other report of this, so there may be something strange happening for some users. We'll look into it 👍

Hi maybe this will be helpful, was just thinking about how I went about leaving the feedback. I did all the normal steps with one extra thing. I was going to leave some extra comments in the comments section and decided it was not required so backspaced them out and used the save button. Maybe this caused a hiccup, if you scroll down the sellers feedback there are quite a few double ups, so I thought it was worth mentioning it here.

Hi,
I just noticed that I can still leave feedback for past threads where I have already left it and the seller did not reciprocate yet.

For example, today I went through the last 2 transactions I made and I forgot I already sent the feedback, so I posted it again (which should not be possible I understand).
I was able to delete one duplicate feedback, but I could not delete the other one. Is it something you need to look at?

Thx

I have noticed this too……

The feedback system had a slight change made to allow members to leave feedback when more than one item was dealt with in one thread.

In fact the change was made so that Boing-ball could leave two sets of feedback for DJCook

I've just switched this off again - which means you'll only be allowed to leave one feedback per thread even if you purchased more than one item on different occassions.

@softinn I've remove the duplicate feedback for you.

Thanks. I was under the impression that was put back to how it was after that request? It was because DJCook had a few different items which I bought off the same thread 👍🏻

It was but then we thought it would be useful to leave it on.

But now it's off again :D

Greetings, Is feedback meant to be editable? I was trying to edit some feedback I left, to include some additional information, but I receive error messages.

The error on the left occurred when I tried to edit feedback by clicking on the members positive feedback number, then clicked edit on the feedback that I wanted to edit. When I clicked 'Edit Feedback', to complete my edits, the error displayed. The edit was not saved.

The error on the right occurred when I tried to edit feedback from within the member's profile, on the 'Feedback Status' tab. I clicked edit on the feedback that I wanted to edit. Then, when I clicked 'Edit Feedback' to complete my edits, the error displayed. The edit was not saved.

I believe feedback can only be edited within 5 minutes of the feedback being left.

ahh...ok. I was probably just past that cutoff.

If it's important that you change the feedback you can send the details to me and I should be able to change it for you.

Trying to leave positive feedback for a transaction a few months ago, and I am not seeing the thread pop up in the valid thread drop-down. Any ideas? I had declared interest in the thread. thanks.

Which thread was that on?
