Trying to leave positive feedback for a transaction a few months ago, and I am not seeing the thread pop up in the valid thread drop-down. Any ideas? I had declared interest in the thread. thanks.
@lisp-machine.

Was it this one?

Helps the Admins out if you give a direct link Bud 👍🏻😉

Feedback is still buggered, I believe. The "+" icon doesn't disappear after you've left feedback and it takes you to the feedback form, if you click it. I mostly leave feedback by replying to the feedback given to me. It would be extremely helpful, if the "+" icon disappeared after both parties left feedback for each other so that we know where we left feedback and where we haven't.

The easiest thing to do is to click the 'Add Feedback' link under the member's name in the thread (or if you're viewing the list of feedback you have received, click their name and then hit the orange 'Add Feedback' button on their feedback page). The list of all possible threads to give the user feedback for will be in the dropdown when you give feedback.

If you're referring to the '+' icon in the feedback list for a user, I agree that can be confusing and we can remove those buttons. They're not that useful for the reason you describe (they aren't "smart" enough to hide if feedback has been given for a specific thread).

Hi,

Thanks, I thought I could give feedback more than once in the same sales thread.

Cheers

Q's for admin from me regarding feedback.

Where do we (from the viewpoint of a seller) stand when feedback is given but receive none in return from the buyer? Even days or weeks later after the transaction was successfully concluded?

As we are aware, threads can not be closed until both parties have exchanged feedback but if one side refuses or just ignores their obligations, what then?

Is the option there to ask admin / moderator to both close and archive the sales thread after a set amount of time has passed because of this situation, say 2 or 3 weeks once the item has been confirmed as delivered? Or could an admin / moderator perhaps step in and "politely" remind the offending party once this threshold has been reached and reported?

Perhaps both?

@miggymad I believe Feedback can be left on Closed/Archived threads.

That would be the easier thing for us to do rather than chase members to complete feedback.

@davideo

So what happens if the seller has already left feedback and the buyer completely ignores giving back? It boosts the buyer's cred, leaving the seller swinging in the wind. Isn't that the Ebay way? Coming now to Amibay it would seem.

Perhaps it might be a better solution for a seller to refrain from leaving feedback until they receive it first. Am seriously considering such myself.

@miggymad Leaving feedback used to be mandatory and within the rules.

It doesn't appear to be there now.

I'll look into adding it back in.

Hi. I have a problem with the feedback system.

I bought a item a few time ago in this thread: www.amibay.com/threads/fleamarket-isa-pci-agp-cards-and-motherboards-10-04-2024-new-stuff-added.2443379/page-6 and I left the feedback.

Recently I bought again a new item, but the system doesn't allow me to leave feedback for the second transaction. I think the system is not ready for multiple feedback in the same thread... for the same user.
Yep. Correct. You can only leave 1 feedback on the same thread as many.

The system is capable of doing this, but it is configured to not allow it in order to avoid confusion (i.e. buyers mistakenly giving feedback twice, etc)
