I am offering for sale a selection of parts pulled from a dead Lenovo ThinkPad R61i. These parts were known to be working before the motherboard failed.

1: Display (glossy), including lid plastics, hinges, WiFi antenna cabling, and the little "ThinkLight" bulb which shines down onto the keyboard when activated by the keyboard, plus its cabling. There is some residue and marking from some stickers on the top of the lid. The hinges are metal, and are not in any way loose.

Due to the size and fragility, I'm afraid that this one will have to be UK-only.

Asking price is £25, plus postage & packing, to be paid via PayPal Gift, please. Pictures are below (please ignore the white mark in the upper left area of the screen - it's just glare);

2: Lenovo Ultrabay Enhanced DVD Multi drive.

Asking price is £10, plus postage & packing, to be paid via PayPal Gift, please. Image below;

3: Hard disk drive caddy, the four screws to affix a hard drive to it, and the rubber bumpers for the sides, and a bag containing a complete set of outer casing screws, plus a large number of the inner ones, as well.

Asking price is £5, plus postage & packing, to be paid via PayPal Gift, please. Photo is below;

4: Power supply. This is the original that was supplied with the machine, and still has the velcro strap on it for tidying up the cable. The battery is also included with this, but I do not know how much of a charge it holds.

Asking price is £10, plus postage & packing, to be paid via PayPal Gift, please. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of these items when I was taking the above snaps. I will add this later.

EDIT: I'm making a change to the pricing. I'm dropping the asking price to £30 for the entire bunch of parts together (plus postage and packing, to be paid via PayPal Gift), before I put them up elsewhere.

EDIT: Last price drop, to £15 for the whole lot, plus P&P. If it doesn't go within the next two weeks, I'll just take it to the recycling centre or such, as I could use the space, now.

Bumping to make a note of a change to the listing.

Now asking £30 for the entire lot.

Interested in this Lenovo Ultrabay Enhanced DVD Multi drive pending a close up pic of the interface :thumbsup:

pm sent

cheers

I've received your PM, but almost an hour before your post, I revised the listing with the intent to sell as one lot.

That said, I'll get a pic. I don't mind splitting.

Ok, got a photo, and have also responded to your PM. My camera's not fantastic about close-ups, so I hope that this is ok!

Thanks for the photo & the pm, the interface is different from the one I'm replacing, unfortunately withdrawing interest

Cheers

Alright, no problem. :) Sorry it wasn't what you were after!

One last price-drop for the lot, to £15, plus postage and packing, before I drop it off for recycling.

I guess most folks replace laptops instead of repairing them, nowadays. :lol: Accordingly, I'm going to have to withdraw this lot from sale - I could use the space, now. Please can this thread be closed?
