Life as a Norwegian

Since there are many nations here I feel us Norwgians haven't got to introduce our daily life that well. so I found this graphics that explained the regular life of us Norwegians. Certain variations is expected, but this is close to the daily routine.

Hah I'm of Norwegian ancestry, but I've never been there myself. Pretty amusing how half of the things in the illustration have carried over to be Scandinavian-American stereotypes as well

Unfortunally Norway had some good summer weather last weekend, 20+ degrees and worm winds with sunny skies...
Some of us Norwegians might have forgotten about the skis during this...

BUT today we were hit with the first snow and it has been a holiday week in Norway with many of us going up to the mountains... Not sure what the people are doing up there as they do not expect snow and skiing is not suitable on green grass...

Well, anyways, here are 3 norwegians that are probably missing both their skis and winter tires

Just so you people dont start to get the wrong picture, we dont have 4 hours work day, that is rediculous... It is ofcourse 3.5 hours !!!



No, it is actually 7.5, unless you have a job like me, I am a electric service engineer, and my work days are usually 12 hours, when I am out on a job.

I still remember the first time I visited Norway... "Stunning" doesn't do it justice. I was staying at the Hotel Soria Moria, and arrived about midnight.

had no clue as to where I was, or what the surroundings were like. Then woke up and threw back the curtains.

The place is beautiful. Simply beautiful. To me it looks like someone has dropped a small-ish city into the best parts of the lake district...

it is so clean, it is so unpretentious. I'd live there in a flash, despite the cost of living - which is horrendous - because the benefits so far outweigh the cost.

The only thing I'd disagree with is the 4 hour working day... I must be working for the wrong company!

I don´t recall any such event.

Anyway let´s face it, the main event is hockey. The rest is just there to fill out the TV schedule. 8)
