Just found a box of CF cards, cables and adapters such as my SVideo adapter which is a result as I can now unplug that chunking RF modulator from my A500+ :D

Some IDE/Floppy Terminators, other bits and bobs. Well chuffed as I will need these if I get another A1200

Anyone else finding stuff they thought they'd lost/sold?

I found a box with some goodies in the other day :)

Mainly PC bits but there was a Zorro Tandem IDE, a still baged 8bit IDE for a Spectrum (must get round to getting one) and a few joystick bits including autofire circuits and cables.

Found another copy of Alienbreed 3D CD32 when getting all my CD disks together only thought I had the one ha ha

I may have a spare A1200 that you might be interested in

Hey Tim, I have a wanted thread open :)

I'm very pleased that I'm not the only one who forgets about things I still have. I do however have a disturbing habit of purchasing items I currently own.

On quite a few occasions I've bought a game (impulse buy on here for example) and already have it lol.

There's a few websites that I have begun cataloging my collections on, Games/RPGs on BoardgameGeek/RPGGeek, hardware on GameTZ, software on VideoGameGeek and GameTZ

LPs and CDs on Discogs. Movies and some books on GameTZ

helps quite a lot when I am out doing the Thrift/Book/Dollar/Comic/Bargain Store thing...

yeah,all the time,lol

thing is i do have alot of parts,so i forget i have them, put them away, then "find" them again.after buying another because i thought i hadnt got it :)

case in point is: i was watching a youtube video by eevblog, and realized i had the basic speech synthesis ic he was talking about in the video from the late 70's..a bit of dejavu and there it was in parts collection,i have this happen quite often :)

Hi Steve,

I tend to get things, forgot I have them, and then get them again - leaving me with two or more copies!

If any of you (RE)-Find a 50 pin scsi hard disk of any size to test my A500 side car thingy. that would be cool :)

Got a 9GB SCA (80-pin) + a 80->68 or 50 pin adapter that you could cenceivably borrow for little while ..... but I'd want em back.

thanks but its ok.. so any 80 to 50 pin or 68 to 50 pin works ?? just buy a cheap 9gb or 18gb HDD from ebay 80 pin scsi3 and it will work as 50 pin scsi for amiga ??

I had very little success with those SCA 80-50 or 68 adapters, even with correct termination. I would suggest a proper 50pin SCSI drive (I did have a nice small one but I think it went with some stuff I sold, will check) Have you considered a SCSI-SD adapter or even SCSI-IDE?

thanks steve, if you find the hdd that would be cool just to see if the a500 side car I have works,, the 4mb fast ram works ok but the scsi drive seems to be dead.

scsi-sd its the expense.. I do have PPC mac (old 60mhz) that's got a 3gb scsi drive, an A2000 Impact with a 1gb scsi drive but im to scared to even touch them due to how rare they are while they seem to be working without issues. knowing my luck ill pull the A2000 drive, unscrew it from the PCB and kill it !!!!
