Hi,

to fit my A1200 with more RAM, I am looking for a low profile or very thin 72 pin 128 mb simm, that fits in my Blizzard 1230IV so that I can close the trapdoor!

Thanks!

This doesn't exist, even with the smallest available 128mb Simms you cannot close the trap door. The best option is to get a SCSI kit and fit 128mb to that and then slim 64mb on the Blizzard, then you can close the trapdoor.

Otherwise with 128mb on Blizzy you have to cut the door or leave it open.

Steve.

I´ve been able to close the trapdoor but it has a bulge. :)

Looks very much like this:

@fitzsteve
hm, this is what I thought in my deepest nightmares...,
most of the 128 mb modules won't fit and perhaps some fit with a bulge in the trapdoor

@retrofan
yes, this is it, if this is really a 128 mb module!

@mendel
a bulge is OK, but it should be closed :)

Ouch that bulge! :)
Better get a slim 64mb simm, if you REALLY don't need a 128mb one.

OK, I got a SCSI-kit and I was able to find a pair of very fast 64 mb simms in my "stock", so that I can use the 60 ns jumper setting on my Blizzard even with a mounted SCSI-kit! :D
So I have at least 128 mb in my A1200 and a fast setting for my 1230IV, that's all I wanted. :)
So this thread (I know, with a "d" not with a "t" as last letter :whistle:) can be closed!
