I'll be re-installing my mac mini one of these day's. I would like to experiment a little more and put mac os X, linux ppc, and morphos 2.6 on it, the machine currently run morphos 2.5 stable. And it has been running Debian stable as well..

I have mac os X 10.3 on cdrom - it hangs why ?? Anybody any idea:help::help:, the cdrom is fine (original:readit:) and can be read.

(I reaches the apple when i boot with C from cdrom and that's it)

which mac mini is it G4 or intel ? intel cpus are supported from osx tiger only

ahh well as was said before, retail versions of OSX up to leopard should install okay. if your machine is not supported then an error should pop up when your try to install. As its just locking up its either a cd fault or cd-rom fault...

That is strange, I just installed morphos 2.6, the mac os x boot cdrom still the same problem, locks up, but the 10.3 cdrom is readable I can take iso off it without errors.

I think my mini needs mac os x 10.4....

That would be great, every source is pointing that the mac mini did not come with 10.3 at least not my version I have...

The 1.42 GHz Mac mini needs 10.3.7 (build 7T11) or later. Which version and build is your install disc?

i have tired ibook tiger disks on an Imac ppc and it didnt like it. Hardware not supported.

i used my spare retail tiger dvd and all was good.

Well I will look for another version then this one say's

10.3

I tiger was out for that version mac mini, so you need 10.4 retail, or the disks for the exact model number as your mac.
