For Sale: MacroSystem Warp Engine rev 1 with 68060 CPU - http://amiga.resource.cx/exp/warpengine

Card has a 68040-68060 adapter and a 060 CPU of rev 6 and with mask 71E41J. Runs at 80 MHz. Has 64 MB of Fast RAM. Also attached to the CPU are a heatsink and a small Noctua fan that can be powered from the Amiga's own PSU.

Note: I haven't been able to get any SCSI drive working with the card, and I suspect that the SCSI port is faulty. Also it is possible that I am just too clumsy with SCSI drives and unable to use terminators correctly.

I wish the payment to be with PayPal or with wired bank transfer. PayPal payment not as friends.

Price for the card without shipping is 1000 € 1200 € 950 €. Shipping preferred inside Europe, but can consider also outside regions.

Now for sale also elsewhere.

Thanks for looking.

Are the ram sockets broken? It looks like the three purple plastic gizmos are there to fixate the ram

Can I please confirm that the price went from 1000 euro to 1200 euro?
Did something change? Did you get SCSI working?

Well, I see the two crystals are marked "40mhz" and "50mhz" respectively, which is the standard for the card. If the SCSI has issues at those speeds, I would think it's not the crystals.

Yeah, but it's confusing, the post says 80mhz.

Bump.

And also confirmation on the CPU speed, the 040-060 adapter makes the CPU run at double speed, so that with 40 MHz crystal the CPU runs at 80 MHz speed.

However, I had not noticed there's a second crystal that has 50 MHz written on it. By testing through WhichAmiga I came to the result that the CPU runs at 80 MHz instead of 100 MHz. I don't know whether it's possible to switch the crystal in use, so that it could be ran at 100 MHz.

I have this exact card with this exact set up in my Amiga 4000. I can confirm that yes you may run the CPU at 100 mhz (rev 6 only) by adding a 50mhz CPU crystal (replacing the 40mhz) and the SCSI will still work since it takes its timing from the other crystal which reads 50mhz on your board.

I run my warp engine with rev6 060 using the 50mhz SCSI crystal and a 40mhz CPU crystal (which as you mention doubles the CPU speed to 80mhz since it is an 060) which is your exact config listed in this ad. The warp engine is my favourite card of all time and is a lovely addition to any Amiga but you definitely need to figure out why the SCSI isn't working since that's a big big feature of the card.
