Hi Folks,

Looking for an MCA Sound Card for my IBM PS/2?

ChipChat32 or SoundBlaster MCA preferable?

There must be one out there still ... Thanks guys!

I'm on the same quest. Did you ever find one?

If you are interested, there is a bare MPU-IMC for sale on the other bay, and I have the needed breakout box and manual.
If that counts for a sound card, of course :)

Well, I wrote to the seller, he made me an offer and I accepted it. So now I have a Roland MPU-IMC (later revision with the IRQ jumper) with the breakout box and manual. If you are interested in the package, please look at my wishlist and feel free to make me an offer (cash alternative is also welcome).

Thanks but I think a SoundBlaster, Adlib, or ChiChat is what I'mm after and likely never find.

Me too, I'll keep hunting for an SB compatible as it's mainly so I can use my PS/2 for retro games.

However, I did purchase a IBM 88G2774 MCA Ultimedia card - but think there's only drivers available for NT4 so not much use. Haven't tried it yet tho ...

Your best shot is finding IBM PS/2 Model 57 / 77 systems. They came as multimedia editions with CD-ROM (SCSI) and CT5320/CT5330 on board.

I found both in SC last year. Sold both CT5320/30 within days. :) I found them whilst using Search Tempest and trawling through hundreds of ads over the better part of a year. I keep finding interesting stuff that way.

That's a great tip Peter. Thanks.
