Hi,
I'm selling a few of remaining Mechboard 64 DIY kits after my own builds on my supplier prices. The keyboard is built based on the excellent work of mtnBuffalo and it's latest v1.7 LED board.
The MB64 KIT contain ALL of the following components, including
C64 Mechboard 64
- main pcb
- pin Headers, all SMD components, timers, etc.
- Cables for C64 mainboard connection
- all 3d printed components, including (the special redesigned / rebuilt keyboard bracket (in 2 pieces, use epoxy for glue), all washers, holders, connector spacers, Gateron-Commodore keycap-adapters)
- 66pcs of Gateron Yellow buttons
- plastic screws, bolts, etc.
- link to the technical build documentation
NOT included in the KIT, but it's necessary for the build
- 1x space button stabilisator (you can remove it from an old keyboard)
- a full set of keycaps (could be your original Commodore 64 version or a crowfounded variant from Kickstarter / Indiegogo / CBMStuff)
NOT included, but optional
Important: if you populating the board with LED's you need at least an 2.5A / 5V power supply. Original PSU's are not able to provide the necessary increased capacity. If you build the mechboard64 without LEDS (or only for the Shift lock mechanism), then you'll be fine with your original low capacity PSU.
Price:
94 EUR / 99 USD
89 EUR / 94 USD
85 EUR / 90 USD
+ shipping fee to your country. Shipping w/ DPD, GLS, etc. to European Union countries.
Payment: Revolut (preferred), Paypal or bank transfer
Parcel dispatch: 1 week after payment (due to 3D printing lead time).
Thanks for the interest.
Here are a few pictures about my build.
note:
Edit: bump.
Price decrease due to my (past) anniversary.
New price. 89 EUR / 94 USD + shipping
*update: all of the Kits has been sold. Thank you!
Edit:
Edit: Two kits were sold. (acer+Kresko). Thank you. Last one is pending at cemi.

NOT included, but optional
- all 3mm leds and 33 x 56 Ohm (or 0 Ohm) SMD resistor (I'm able to provide you supplier source) - red colour is preferred due it's natural low forwarding voltage requirement
- You can choose any type or colour at your local electric store if it's voltage requirement is around 2.5V. All of the leds are optional and the light feed is separated from the keyboard circuit itself so you can build it without any lights if you would like.

note:
- The working keyboard on my (sixtyclone) setup is for illustrational only, keycaps are not part of this selling.
- These are NOS components. I take no responsibility for the build, it is entirely up to the experience/professionalism of the buyer/builder. PCB has been manufactured by pcbway based on mtnBuffalo shared project, all SMD's are coming from quality suppliers.
- The entire build with experienced soldering skills take no more than 8 hours. Soldering and creating DIY kits are fun - take your time and enjoy!
