hi, I would like to buy a monitor for the Amiga 1200 that can handle 15khz on VGA, from various searches this Dell SE2722H came up, they say it's ok, but I saw that this model Dell SE2722HX
also exists, it seems to be the same plus the VGA cable included in the box . can anyone confirm for me? Thank

Ciao @dany78x ,
by looking at Amazon offers it seems indeed that the difference is only the added VGA cable.

Anyway I'd like to report that also a smaller and more recent Dell monitor works fine with our Amigas, that is the Dell P2222H (which I own).
Both of those Dell monitors are not present in the wikidot list, but both of them were already confirmed working also by other users on the Atariage forums.
You can find some more pointers in the news thread I opened on amigapage.it.

At this point the choice is about how much space you can spare for the monitor...

I'm waiting on a P2222H - seems like a much better size for an Amiga display. 27" seems way too big.

Ringraziare
i found this online https://www.markreds.it/2023/07/02/un-monitor-per-lamiga-1200/ I wonder if the SE2722HX model is the same

Do you recall whether you had to set any specific settings for the P2222H ? I am unable to get a 15khz signal with a tester. I have a January 2024 model.

Just to add a few cents for this monitor. I did manage to get an image out of my A1200 and A500 while connecting them directly using RGB->VGA cable with noise filtering embedded. However, the image quality was not great, with vertical bars and noise around. It could be some inference from a close by PSU or something else. But I had to use OSSC and a high-quality SCART cable to get a nice and clear picture. I also found a few people with exactly the same issues.

I also used a simple RGB->VGA cable and I believe that the eventual noise filtering does not impact the functionality needed to display 15kHz frequences.
It could be possible that there can be differences in manufacturing (mine is from Jan 2023) due to cost cutting, but I think a similar variability was already seen with other Dell models.

Do you have the possibility to send it back and try with the Dell SE2722(H|X) instead? I used Amazon to buy mine only for this reason...

Yeah, I think they modified the later models, it definitely does not do 15kh. I have an OSSC scaler that I am going to test on it tomorrow. It it does not work out, I will get the SE2722H 👍
