CPU arrived, unfortunately it doesn't work.
Photo or Video if you need.

Please answer me in order to approach the "send-back" procedure

Seller asked to me a video of not-working-item.

Video sent yesterday morning.

Waiting for an answer and the "send-back" procedure.

ADMIN

Please review this transaction because more thatn 24h of silence (but user activity into the Amibay forum) and i didn't receive an answer after a not working CPU.
I will be happy to make a mistake, but past experiences tell me to write now.

Hi there..we are here

All chips (of a certain value) I have them tested in the lab, as well as for this latest MOS 8501 which has been verified on ZIF.
I was waiting for confirmation from the technician of the verification and related photo / video documentation. The wetransfer link via email. We have always sold many NOS chips without encountering any problems (also because we test expensive ones like this / 6510 / ULA / etc). At this point you should pay attention to your Plus4 because if inserting the chip I sent you displays the black screen there is something on the board that is not under control (power supply?). Or

If necessary I can upload this video here (if requested by ADMIN). Video done day after payment 27 May on 9:50 in the morning

My video shows how the PLUS 4 works with another working CPU, and how it is not working (black screen) with the CPU bought from axel81.
So, i don't know if we are joking or not...

Of course no one doubts that in your video you see "black screen" but we too, as per the video of May 27th morning on ZIF, prove that the CPU worked

As written privately if you have mounted the CPU and it has failed you cannot input me that I have sent you a bad chip...
ow can I answer for a chip that I have also checked before sending it in an antistatic stick.

I can only think of a problem / instability of your board (power supplies) or you have handled the chip without paying attention to electrostatic discharge (ESD).
Luckily for me I had asked to try and film it as per the procedure for all these chips of a certain cost to avoid disputes in case of problems.
This applies to this latest piece MOS 8501 but also to other rare and expensive chips such as the ceramic MOS 6510 / MOS 6569R1 / ULA 2C210E / etc

For sure I am not joking as the video posted shows

If requested I will make it available to the ADMIN to prove that the chip has started from here verified and working

This issue has been flagged to the moderators

Can I please ask you both to upload your videos to this thread

In my opinion, axel81 the only issue with your proof video is the fact you have more than one and how do we know if this is the one you sent Violo, and again we don't know the validity of Violo video either, but this is my opinion and this is why I ask for you to upload the videos to the thread for the other moderators to see both sides.

Violo just so you know the moderators have no control of the fund recovery process and the only way for you to recover your funds are if you paid by PayPal protection, unless an agreement can be made between you and axel81

Dear Timtheloon
as already discussed privately with Violo (through PM) the chip I provided was the last one available

This was written privately between us after he had shown his interest here in the discussion.
So the video that I will shortly put available here is the one that was provided to Violo. A piece had already been sold ... therefore the advertisement is to be considered "sold out"

If necessary I provide a copy of the history of our private discussion...but I hope that Violo can confirm even without having to do this

Obviously i can update my video.

My video shows a Plus 4 working with my CPU and not working with axel81 CPU.
Axel video show how his CPU (i don't know if the same he sent to me) works with a Plus4.

The story is simple: i sent 70 euro to axel and i receive a not working CPU.
As we know, we are speaking about 30 years old chipset, sent by a simple little bag (not a box) - so i don't know if the trip or the time causes a problem with Chip.

What is strange is that Axel wrote to me that my Plus 4 has a problem with the motherboard, when e showed in the video how it works well with a working CPU.

So if axel is shure is CPU is working and my Plus4 has a problem, we can approach a send-back procedure. I can send back the CPU (payng by my self the delivery) and receive back the money,
What is the problem?

I sent to Axel two videos (one with his CPU and one with mine). To be more clear i will share here a new video (only one) so everybody can see in a single video how my CPU works and axel CPU don't.
I will prepare the video today.

I’m on my phone so making this short and sweet.

violo if you paid by goods as per AmiBay guidelines put in a PayPal dispute.

axel81 your listing doesn’t say that returns aren’t accepted so I would expect you to accept a return and offer a full refund.

Please excuse the lack of tags as they won’t work on my phone

Dear davideo
I would have agreed with you 100% if I hadn't had the foresight to do a verification with a lot of video as I have already described: I also could not have said much about the alleged "broken" chip. But from here the chip started working so where does my protection stay?

Beyond the Paypal speech with yes or no protection, in the past I have already supported new shipments of missing items against me.

But here we are talking about something else ... of a chip that if I had not verified I would have undoubtedly refunded without any problem ... but given the rarity of the NOS this and others I always have them checked before any shipment, whether it is a MOS or a SAD type delay line.

axel81 Did you send the chip in ESD safe packaging? I am thinking maybe you could put forward a claim to the courier if you sent the chip using an insured service ?

I think i have nothing to add.
The story is clear.

Here we are in Amibay community. People usually pay with PayPal as a gift because we trust each other and because we know if there is a problem we can send-back items.

I really don't understand the axel81 problem.
I can copy here the private messages. If he is sure his CPU is working, why he doesn't ask to send back the chip and give me a refund?

This is the video:

You can see my Plus 4 working with my CPU, and not working with a axel81 CPU (datetime 88 )

MOS 8501 shipped in antistatic stick. No polystyrene or plastic packaging. We have been handling and shipping integrated products since 1975. All integrated circuit/active parts always in antistatic stick/bag

In fact if you want you can copy the whole conversation, I have nothing to worry about.

It was the last chip and I also had a chip check with video done before packing it in an anti-static carton: so do you think I sent you a broken chip ?? and immoral. For those who have always bought from us, they know what they buy and the seriousness / professionalism we put into it ..
I repeat that if I send you a chip that works (the video of May 27 at 9:50 am test) and then you say you have it mounted and a black screen ... then you mount another one and everything works.

Well ... then since I installed it working it is evident that it broke for you when:

1) you handle it carelessly with your hands (ESD)
2) do you mount it upside down?
3) do you mount it right and it breaks because of an absurd fatality?

But you'll want to agree that I showed you your lab-tested chip complete with video ...

Now I'm back on my PC I'm closing this down while it's discussed within the Admin area.

axel81 Please send the link to your video proof of working to my PM inbox?

After a lengthy process @axel81 agreed to refund 50% of the cost to @Violo once the chip had been returned.

This has now been completed
