My 7 year old nephew

So I've had my nephew stay for the weekend with me - I'm so tired...

Anyway , i kept the PS4 turned off and i introduced him to the Amiga for the first time in his life.

I wasn't really ready for him , my whdload system wasn't finished and my CDTV is in bits but he seemed fascinated by all the electric inside it (he said)

So after i forgot about adding noautovec to most of the WHDload tool types most things ran and this was more successful in keeping him entertained that loading floppies...

Now what to play?

i tried the following list.

lotus challenge
road rash
afterburner
super frog

alien breed

Problems - he wasn't sure what a joystick is and he didn't like it - but then neither do i, so we changed to a game pad.

waiting times...no patience

and NMI Auto Vector error in whdload

but he must of liked them as he's asked to stay next weekend the little pest grrrr

I have a 6 year old and he likes all the two player beat em ups. We play mainly megadrive games like

Golden Axe
Streets of Rage
Turtles Hyperstone Heist.

For the amiga I found all the kids like

Kid Choas
Rainbow Island
Bbig Nose the caveman
apidya (two player)

Any violent games like body blows and rise of the robots.

We also use a gamepad. Kids that age have difficulty with joysticks. I use sega megadrive pads with my amiga.

I've told him I'm going to link two Amigas together and we'll race in any game that supports it. He can't really understand how a cdtv is an amiga and an A500 and an A1000 /2000 / 3000 / 4000 are Amigas...(but they look different he said)

Oh another vote for supercars 2 here. Can be competitive or as a team, split screen, good sound plays off floppy on a bare a500! Bubble bobble good for team play.

Bubble Bobble is a great 2 player game. Easy to pick up and play.

If you want to properly addict someone to the Amiga, Lemmings can't be beat.

New Zealand Story, it's cute and a winner with kids of all ages. Kept me occupied for a while from the get go
