My Game Room!

Fantastic collection there Heather and loved the Stargate!

Oh yeah, in case you couldn't tell from the pictures, I'm a huge Stargate fan as well. Probably my favorite sci-fi series ever.

Heather

I once found myself wondering why people on other planets didn't rely on cars as much as us. That was when I realised that watching SG-1 for a full 24 hours straight was not good for your perception of reality

I must say that the Buddy Christ statue caught my attention. Definite Thumbs up!
Thanks Nathan! I agree, the Buddy Christ is wonderful. :) I really like the stuff Kevin Smith does. :)

Maybe you should decorate man caves for a living. :D
LOL! I don't think I'd be very good at that. I'm a bit of a perfectionist and probably a bit OCD as well. It takes me forever to get everything just right. I've still got some other decorations to put up because what it still looks a bit spartan decor wise.

Had one of those 36" sony's last year (older model) but it broke and they're hard to come by here.
I lucked into this one. A friend was finally upgrading to an HD television so he gave this one to me. They are amazingly heavy! We pulled it out of his TV stand and I almost dropped my end. Ended up having to get another person with much larger muscles than mine to help move it!

Looks amazing! I wonder how long you can keep it so neat and tidy? ;) Very envious that you have a nice sized room for it all.
Hopefully quite a long time. I've tried to make everything fairly accessible so stuff can be put away while not in use. The systems themselves will always be connected, but the controllers will be put away if not being used. Fingers crossed!

I like the StarGate stuff too. Shame that 200th episode wasn't quite as good as it could have been.. but at least it wasn't as bad as the end of Universe. So who's your favourite character? Daniel, Jack, Cameron, John?
I enjoyed the 200th episode because they made a lot of fun of themselves. I agree that it could have been better though. Favorite characters are so hard to determine in this series because most of them were likeable. Is it odd that I actually enjoyed Rodney McKay's character? He was extremely annoying but I still liked him for some reason.

very nice, i keep meaning to show off my collection but keep putting it off as "it's not complete", but it never will be i guess lol
Yeah, I have a feeling all of this will change around at some point. I have most of my bases covered though. :)

I want something like this for euro plugs!
These strips didn't get very good reviews where I bought them so I took a chance. Fortunately, all the ones I received work perfectly!

Yeah, you have to just enjoy them for what they are. :)

Thanks for all the wonderful comments!

Heather

Very nice setup you got there

Some day ! Seeing other people's setups always gives me ideas though. Thanks for that :D

When's the games party & are we all invited? :arms
Whenever you can make it this way. :) I just wish I had more friends locally who enjoyed classic gaming.

Thats a great room Heather now lets see your work bench..

:coffee:

I hope that isn't a euphemism Chris!!! :o

Nice setup! I wish I had the space but I have the spare room to keep my stuff/me out of the way!

Impressive... most impressive!

I dig how you're rockin' the Vectrex, too. You'll get no complaints from the trombone section.

While my little retro corner pales in comparison to such awesomeness, I may have to post a pic now.

:)

Awesome!!

Can I move in?
I'll do the cleaning, the dishes, laundry, walk the dog, its win-win!

Seriously, I wish I had room in my apartment for such a setup, maybe some day...

Thanks Red! I'm lucky that I basically have four bedrooms. My game room and one other bedroom are both about the same size. The other two bedrooms are much bigger. :)

Yep! I love the Vectrex. I remember someone I know had one when they came out. I was extremely jealous! You should definitely share some pictures of your own.

LOL! That's tempting! Of course, I have cats which are much more difficult to walk. :P

Awesome room, Heather.

Well organized and all that jazz. My computer room is a complete mess with boxes, shelves and cabinets full of computer stuff and monitors. And I'm talking about a 16m² room (that's ~172 ft²).

Paula don't let me disseminate the Amigas around the house, for some reason...

I can understand why. :) I try to keep my retro gear out of all the rooms except those I set aside for it.

Ciao!

Heather

Incredible gaming room really. Too bad my fiance hasn't your computer-temperament. :D

Fantastic setup! I can only imagine how many CDs are in those CD cases. I have CD cases similar to those that hold a hundred or 2. Also, interesting how the guy from Red Eye Redemption is pointing a shotgun at the Jesus statue.

Awesome room love the Sega Megadrive stack

For maximum effect I have teamed my Megadrive with the 32x and mega cd1

Now that is a triple decker monster

Here's my stripey face, she doesn't like me playing on computer or consoles

Yeah, they are huge beasts once you pile everything on them! It works really well though. :D

Thanks Michael! Yeah, the biggest cases in the photos hold 500 discs. I'll leave everyone to do their own calculations on how many I have. :)

I walk mine all the time. I cannot find a picture of him on the leash, so here he is being a goofball lazy!
I thought about doing that with a couple of my cats, but I didn't do it soon enough and now they are way too scared to go out. They also don't like collars so I know they would hate a harness and leash.

I still love your humongous kitty!
