Since ya'll like my WonderMega post I thought I'd share some pics of my MegaDrive/MegaCD collection :)

As I said in my other post, it's a shame these PAL MegaCD Games don't run on my WonderMega but it was a good excuse to get the old skool MegaCD MkI out for a blast

Nice, I can recommend Beast II for the Mega CD just because it was on the Amiga :) (I have a copy as well)

You do need Sonic CD though!

Theme Park and Syndicate PAL are two of the rarest titles, I would love a copy but they go for big money.

Cheers guys, yeah I've been keeping an eye out for Games now, well for ages and usually they sell at lolz prices but appreciate the suggestions

Very nice MegaCD setup there. I miss playing RoadAvenger

I like the old MKI setup better than the MKII, Purely Cosmetic. Nice collection there Steve :)

If that MegaCD is ever for sale Im declaring interest NOW! lol.

Being the Sega freak that I am, I always enjoy seeing a working MegaCD1 being used. Nice Setup!

*Pushes AtariJay out of the way, "IM FIRST!"

Love the look of the md1 and mcd1, I have the same perminant setup in my games room - I feel compelled to show mine of in your thread... Would you mind?

I don't have nearly enough games for the mega cd though  maybe I should buy more! (if I can find any cheap games that is!)

Feel free to share the love

Oh and thanks guys for all the kind words :)

.... I miss playing RoadAvenger

You are the very first person I have encountered who has ever said that. That game is truly appalling! :wooha:

TBH, I have a MegaCD and I am massively underwhelmed by it. Infact I think I gave away my first one, tried it and was so crushingly disappointed I got shot of it.

It's a system like the CD32, brimming with promise but let down with some rubbish system specific titles and re-hashes of existing titles with novelty tack on features (some of them anyway) which add very little to the games.
I love my Mega Drive, but I would happily ditch the MegaCD again, no problems. Infact it's going to be my new nomintation for Mjnurney's thread.

I love the MCD, it tried to be different. Failed maybe but atleast it dared to try. IMO it deserves mega Kudos just for that and most of the titles arent that bad. Interactive B movies maybe but theyre oozing with 90s cheese  Thats what makes them fun.

And as for Road Avenger... an interactive Anime... what more could one want? :D:D:D

Some good imports too... and rares... snatcher anyone?

You'll have to do a lot better than interactive Anime to convince me. ;)

Not heard of Snatcher though, what is it?

Oh yeah.. snatcher looks awesome. I am struggling to get a PAL version that works though :-(

Its funny, my first impressions of the megacd was that it was trash, but after re-visting it I realised that actually it was quite good. Of course there are crap games on all systems but try playing a regular megadrive game for an hour or so and then putting something like snatcher on.. You'll be blown away... or at least I would be if it worked :-) Seen it on you-tube.

I beleive its by the same guy who did Metal Gear ?!?

It was released on a number of other systems, PC included.

Pretty sure it will be a rare collectable on any system right now though.

I like the MCD :) got the CDX though that is smaller with less cable/psu clutter...

Ah the CDX or 'multimega' hehe. I'll def need one of those some day...

I got my MCD just as it was on the decline in 1994 or 1995 from Currys (for the win!) for £99 :) I remember it was a Christmas present. Still boxed and ready to go for me when I play it again (hopefully the tray still works!)

What still gets me - is the BIOS screen and funkytime music, all that spinning logo stuff.

R0jaws (or indeed anyone) have you tried Batman Returns? That is quite possibly the defining MegaCD title for me - great driving sequences with top GFx and amazing sound. That might just be the one to turn you back to the great machine.

However I agree many other mainstream titles were underwhelming just some CD audio over the cart version.
