Nice work Alan, thanks for sharing the pics

Have fun with it, must say I do have a soft spot for the old Power Tower having owned both A1200/A4000 versions, built like a tank and great to work on due to detachable Motherboard plate.

I've got myself the Mirage Pro for my A4k which is very similar in design.

A FastATA will fit just fine under the Mediator if you want to give your IDE a boost or do you have SCSI on the PPC?

I use SCSI-IDE off the BPPC SCSI and also a FastATA (on my A1200) they both pull about 6mb/sec vs 1.7mb/sec off the native IDE.

I also like how you made use of the Arcade VGA adapter, very cool indeed.

Steve.

Gief some pics and possible pinouts for this mod. Nice job dude :)

Nice to see that converter in use

I bought my Power Tower around 1997 I think one of the best things I bought for my Amiga, though ridiculously priced at £150 new at the time (pure madness!)

Cheers

Cheers

Its working a treat buddy and the LCD works great with it too so well happy, when the next run of scan doublers hits the shelves I might be tempted but I think a decent IDE controller is first LOL.

Finally got my Warp Up working and am enjoying Quake on it.

Only Problem I have is with that nightmare Boing Bag 1 it just will not install on the 1200 always get that error 3

Just seen the other question about the converter there is a thread on Amibay taking you thought the pinout and the needed parts.

24inches of pure Miggy LOLOL:ninja:

This will be my Third on over the years but it's only now Iam really getting to enjoy using it LOL.

Cheers Steve

Got to have it sounds fun

Its hard to believe this but I have had every Amiga out expect A1000, A4000T, A3000T

and this is the first bar my A500 1.3 with A590 from 1988 that I have really got game time and fun time with.

Never forget ordering my first A500 I was stationed in Germany and had to wait 3 months to get it the machine it was:

A500 1mb upgrade external floppy drive and a 1084s monitor(later an A590 with 2mb ram) big upgrade from my Commodore C64.

I spent Hours playing game on that A500 cant even remember what happened to it but next machine I had to have was the wonder flop the CDTV again got all the extras at the time turned her on and straight away wished I kept my A500 which I had the A590 for with the extra 2mb ram.

Next was the A1200 got her and kept her until I got my first 386sx pc, I also had the CD32 and again got stung just could not take to it CDTV all over again.

Took me 3 years of PC mania before I went back and of course I went nuts ended up with an A2000 060 and a scan doubler A4000 in micronic tower with CSPPC and Cyber Vision, A1200 in power tower with 040 and the Mediator also had a BPPC but she died, Finally got rid of the lot as I got fed up with waiting for the new stuff to arrive and the Rows with the then Wife, only machine I kept was my A500+ and a couple of box loads of games.

So its been back with a bump only wish I could have kept the A3000 and the A4000 I got here on Amibay but I really really really wanted this project so they got traded to buy this system.

Thanks Amibay for bringing me back.

I am interested in the Mini Mig and the Sam I suppose maybe in the future I will buy these but space is a premium LOL

Cheers for all your support more pics will come when I do my next upgrade:bowdown:
