"Put that on Pope's account" (I hope that will last a bit longer)

"A one-note celebration of violence-for-good..." is a critic of this film. Another hint in a couple of days.

Gah, obviously too easy Rogerio. ;)

@ Thread

Look see this YouTube section of the film for the quote in the first 30 seconds or so.

Also, it's worth watching for a bit of Trivia in this film. At 2 mins & 27 seconds, one of the stunt men is killed outright as the front wheel clouts his orange crash helmet from behind. Instant broken neck & instant death. They left the stunt in the film as a matter of respect.

According to others, the stuntman is alive and kicking.....

"His name is Dale B and he's alive and well....just spoke with him on the phone last night actually. He never even got hurt in that scene. he's also the same stuntman that did the famous circle burnout and the burnout on Gooses bike. Nobody died during production"

"Riders from the Vigilanties performed a lot of the precision stunt work, such as burnouts, donuts, monos, and even a few falls. The donut and mono by the Toecutter's gang in Clunes was a Vigilanties rider, as was Goose's burnout down Claremont Street. Even the infamous bike to the back of the head stunt was a Vigilanties rider (although, clearly, the bike hitting the rider wasn't actually intended - luckily the rider walked away unharmed). It was only when it came down to the most dangerous stunts that the professional stuntmen stepped in. For example, the scene where the two bikers go off the side of Kirk's Bridge, which was performed by stuntmen Grant Page and Chris Anderson."

Well BS, I've never heard that story & was told the story above when back in 1979 when the movie was made. I've read the comment where he walked away from it. So believe what you want to. I just relayed the information as told to me all those years ago & have not ever seen anything contrary until your post now. Thanks for the eye opener. ;)

Brilliant film in it's day though, especially as I rode Motor bikes myself.

Hmm... last one by me was a bit hard to find. Let's see what I can make now...

OK, a heavy one:

"Thanks God for not having made me a woman."

@Juzzer: yes, it is. It's an Israel film, BTW.

Caused a lot of discussion when it was launched.

@Afanboy: nope.

Last hint: the film's name start with with a Hebrew word.

LOL.

Thread necromancy!

OK, then.

The film is Kadosh (Kadosh, sacred in USA & UK), from 1999. An Israeli film directed by Amos Gitai.

The film is question shows the life of two sisters, one married with an orthodox rabbi and the other who abandon her future rabbi husband for a rocker.

Believe me or not, you have to have a stomach to see this film because the way the director show it. No violence, no sex (aaaaaaaahnnnnn... :( ), just religion (any religion) exposed in its worst face.

I'm passing the chance to our hellish friend Juzzer.

ok ok i admit, i would never have got that.

so you win and you get to pick again

(maybe a little less obscure?;))
