Hello, I recently tried to fix the keyboard membrane on my a1200 by trimming the edge and moving the connector a bit so every key registered a keystroke.
Now the keyboard works 100% but the light on the Caps Lock key is dead. The CapsLock key works, only the light is off. Is this because of the membrane that I trimmed?
I remember before the fix, some keys didn't register but the Caps Lock light was working...

Is it possible that you have trimmed the edge slightly at an angle causing the power to the LED not to be connecting correctly?

Double check then try reseating the cable into the mainboard socket - ensure it is firmly seated and straight

That's what I assume has happened. But I didn't know if the membrane connector is controlling the Led on the CapsLock...

I don't know how to check the LED, I just remember that before the membrane trimming it was working, so I assume that somehow the trimmed membrane connector is responsible for this..
