I actually wish they would do the docking thing with modern handhelds, like the vita. Not a cable - a dock. Not getting this until I've seen what games are available and reviewers have had their say. It still emulation, no matter how official it is ;)

Well, i'm not sure you do want a mvs or aes cart hanging out of your 68000/z80 based "handheld" ;)

Not that i'm in the market for this, i still however feel drawn to this:

That looks sweet Mojik, wife would probably kill me three times over if I bought it with a price tag like that lol - hmm well I am getting my AES repaired again so have that at least.

well, if i want a new lens for my camera i'll have to put out about 1500 eur for the quality i want, so that wouldn't exactly be what kills me. :)

Agreed :)

It is this and the neo geo station in psn that drew my attention to Neo Geo gaming. But of course instead of that gold system... I have now ordered the analogue cmvs

Don´t tell my wife

One thing is puzzling to me though. Apparently nobody has opened the case and taken photos of the insides of the analogue cmvs?

I saw an Analogue Interactive Neo recently in the flesh, they are wonderful!

As for the Neo Geo X, great idea with the dock, I wonder how big the stick is? The dock is certainly not "Full size" AES, so wondering if the stick is a mini version too...

Did you get the black or the walnut? I'm really thinking of the black given i got too much wood in the setup already ;) Just not sure about how to give it the placement it deserves lol.

Walnut. Should go nice with my walnut tv table and walnut subwoofer... Or maybe it can get too walnutty and I will later regret not getting the ash version :)

For some reason I love plastic and this thing being made of wood makes it a no buy for me :/

I have a "real" AVS though :o

And you bought the phone on the market with the least amount of plastic? ;) (iphone 5)

You can get an AVS cheaper, but the games are more expensive. you can also get an AVS to MVS adapter, but still.

Aes... Damn phone. Need to learn it some gaming history.

Nice one Mendel, glad you could source a Neo Geo in the end, welcome to the club :) I decided to fix my Neo Geo and keep it in the end, just too much of an awesome machine lol

Hmm.. Just pre-ordered the Limited Ed for the extra Ninja Masters game card.
Wanted to get into some of the NG shooters (and Magician Lord) for a while, and with HDMI and portability I decided to try it out

I had this or Vita.... I went Vita for now, but would like this at some point. I like that it has a slot for future games. I'm hoping that it might kickstart some NEW games for AES, (or at least a cart that can run SD on a real machine) here's hoping..

Yeah if they really wanted to sell these and make a bigger market for it, they'd release a dev kit and allow homebrew games

We should do a compare of one or more of the games at the next SSKT.
