Hi we, at Sakura, are working on a new open source CPU card for A4000 and A3000. Probably some of you already heard about the project: http://sakura-it.pl/decelerator.php .

Anyway, here's some PCB porn:

nice project , thank You
quick question for You
When will be ready new AVIM Scandoubler ?

We're working on it, but I can't give you an exact date yet.

Excellent job Strim! I follow it on EAB as well and I am very happy for a new accelerator for our big Amigas. This particular card is gonna have 16 MB RAM, right?

I am looking forward to see first screenshots and benchmarks. Keep it up guys! :thumbsup2:

Yes, but it's just a prototype. The final version might have more memory, we're still evaluating this.

It will still need some time :).

I absolutely agree with your way of progress, rather smaller project with good chances for success then huge project and stuck in the middle. Of course take your time I think current Amiga users are used to wait and support. :D Wishing good luck and enough motivation ;)

It seems so long from when an accelerator for the 3000/4000 was even mentioned plenty of wind bags with great ideas but no gumption. Good luck guys one of these in my A3000 would be great.

Indeed, it's JTAG. But we don't use FPGA here, just CPLDs - XC9500XL series.

Awaiting the almighty SysInfo screenshot! ;)

Here. Although there's not much point yet in doing any benchmarks. On-board memory is not configured yet and nothing is optimised.

Encouraging work you are doing! The 3000/4000 has been left out of a new processor for a long time. And having RAM on the CPU card must surely improve performance

Keep up the great work!
