Hi there,

My name is Bart, called WHiZZi on the Internet. I'm getting 30 in April this year and I currently live in the south of the Netherlands with my beautiful and lovely wife (who comes originally from Russia). Currently being a system/network-operator (being Linux expert with extra knowledge on VoIP) at an ISP and hopefully this year I will become a professional musician. I play drums at several bands, the biggest band is called Pyrates! . Also playing in a Rock 'n Roll band called the Boogie Stompers and doing several projects as drummer in musicals and choirs.

When I was younger, I collected home computers at a point I had at least 35 systems in fully operating mode. This included MSX'ses, Philips P2000's, Tandy (TRS80 CoCo II) and obviously Commodore Amiga. Back then I was owning an A600HD20, A1200 with some kind of extension card (I don't recall which one, but I may still have it) and a CDTV. My AmigaFever started with the A600 and only grew when I found the A1200.

Being a collector I noticed how advanced the Amiga was when I was still pooping inside diapers :shhh: and I was intrigued why Amiga wasn't as popular (I'm talking about 1995 till 1999). Besides that, I was already a musician and creating mod-files on my old IBM PC and ofcourse, I noticed a lot Amiga-music already.

To make a long story short, the A1200 died and I didn't spend time on my collection. So I gave everything away, incl the broken A1200 and a complete CDTV. Big regret now

Back to 2012. Recently I've been to a friend who collected old gameconsoles and the question arose why he didn't have an Amiga (CDTV, CD32). He didn't know the systems he told me, but they've been added to his wish list. This also triggered my AmigaFever again so I started to look for Amiga machines again.

Lucky I found a gem. I literally found a (boxed!) A4000T with CyberStorm MKII(/68060)+SCSI card (32MB RAM, 270MB disk) and CyberVision64/3D, external SCSI SyQuest drive+CDRW drive, Amiga M1764 monitor. All in working and mint condition!

Next to that I found 2 boxed A500s (apparently a rev 3 or rev 5 and one rev 6 or higher) where one of them has a 3.1 ROM inside and an A530 (incl all install disks and manual and unknown memory on it). Again, in mint condition. Also found 8 (!) boxes of software.

The A4000T had a HD issue, but that's been fixed and it's able to boot WB 3.1 with everything working (incl the CyberVision card).

My next goal is to extend the A4000T to become a workstation inside my network. So, I'll open up a topic to find a network interface for using inside my A4000. If somebody has a PPC extension card, I'm also thinking about that. Basically, I want the A4000 on the Internet just because I can.

I'm going to use one of the A500s to play old games. I highly doubt I'll ever need the GVP A530 so, in a few second I will open up a topic to sell one of the A500s with the GVP A530. In case you want them, let me know. It's all in working condition, nobody ever smoked near the machines and I have all boxes they ever came in.

Welcome to AmiBay. You came to the right place for Amiga fans :)

It's always good to see somebody getting back into retro computing!

Iain
