Well, designing but above all engineering and testing a new board is always time and effort consuming.
I also own an A1000, but still didn't derive a dedicated mod of the adapter.
Unless "lot" of people need it and start asking, it's frankly very unlikely.
On the other side, schematics of the adapter are open, so someone else could possibly make it.

actually, I thought it was "just" about soldering an angled DB9 connector istead of a straight one...

Not so easy, the current DB9 does not have a "90deg" equivalent, anc pcb pads are on both sides of the board->i.e. the board have to be re-engineered

No, case is an optional add-on (you can print it yourself if you have a 3D printer available - stl is on the github).
Black and Translucent resin cases cost to me 5€, transparent is 8€.
