Hi Tuxbar81, I now have a PAL Agnus myself, can I get the extension without the Agnus with a socket for the chip so that I don't have to solder?

I'll see. The socket for the AGNUS chip is a solution since some members already have their own chip. I'm going to order some smd sockets.

First up thanks Tuxbar81, the unit works very well:thumbsup:

Here is some information if you are thinking of installing your own Agnus in a socket:smile:

I ordered a unit a while back without a Agnus and soldered the PLCC SMD socket on so I could easily re-use the Agnus.

Meg.jpgInstalled in my 2000:)

There is a little bit of fitting involved as the A20 line is a little high and you need to file a groove in the PLCC socket corner (blue circle next picture) so the SMD socket will sit flush. Probably could also use a thinner line if you did not want to weaken the socket with the groove.
Meg_corner.jpgA little bit of fitting required in the blue circle area.
