New member from South Carolina, USA, found this site while searching for Amiga hardware. I had sold all of mine years ago to pay bills and have always regretted that action.

Former owner of:
Amiga 1000 - (1) 256KB Expansion, (1) DKB Insider 1MB, (1) External Floppy
Amiga 2000 - (2) DPS TBC II, (1) NewTek Video Toaster, (1) Commodore A2065, (1) SCSI card with 65MB HD
Amiga 3000/25 - 16 MB
Amiga 4000 - 16 MB - (1) Video Toaster4000, (1) ECS/Spectrum RTG, (1) WarpEngine040 32 MB, (1) Emplant MacEmu, (1) Commodore A2065, (1) IDE drive, (1) 1 GB SCSI drive on Emplant controller, (1) CD Rom

Miscellaneous hardware - video sampler, audio sampler, single frame SVHS video recorder, ..a few others minor things I don't recall at the moment.....

Emulation (WinUAE) has me playing with Amiga OS again and recently started playing with Amithlon and using old unused PC's I had to build a few decent Amithlon systems. I've been acquiring a few pieces/parts to build as advanced/fast as possible Amithlon system with decently cheap parts off ebay. This had me scoping out Amiga's on ebay but pickings were slim....which eventually led me here :)

Other than that, I work in IT, play guitar in an 80's cover band and enjoy technology.

Hey welcome to amibay
I bet it's cold now in South Carolina
Hope you have fun in this forum :-)

Thanks....looking forward to reading the threads and possibly one day purchasing :) As for the 80's stuff, we're mostly the rock/hair band stuff - Van Halen, Journey, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, AC/DC, Kiss etc...

Got to love those bands got quite a few lps myself :-) it's quite fun on here :-)

I'd guess most people into Amigas were around in the 80's. My favorite decade, and I'm also a big Amithlon enthusiast now that classic hardware has become so expensive :)

And it looks like one day finally arrived. I managed to find a decent enough A4000/40 that just needs a little TLC. Of course I just noticed it's missing the hard drive bracket that sits between the daughter board and power supply...but oh well.

I've added 3.1 ROMs, and using WinUAE (dead floppy drive in the A4000) I've got OS 3.9 installed and booting on a 250 GB IDE drive.
3.5 GB boot
10 GB work
25 GB data
25 GB misc
(all PFS3)

I have a VideoToaster 4000 and VideoFlyer arriving shortly.....should bring back some memories (Toaster) and be some new fun (Flyer).

Wow....I forgot how addicting Amiga is :)

I've done a few more upgrades to the A4000 (WarpEngine4040, PicassoII, AGA Mk2, X-Surf100/RapidRoad), and just recently added an A4000T to the mix.

I need to stop reading these Amiga forums with people selling/buying/trading stuff, it keeps reminding me of all the stuff I had wanted when it was new but was out of reach :)
