Hey Guys! This is it.

I just received the first batch of USB Joystick adapters, PCB version 3.0.
This new version is supporting virtually any DB9 joystick ever made!
Just use the flash utility to reprogram as desired.

Here is the compatibility list:

  • Atari 2600 Joystick
  • Atari 7800 Joystick (2 buttons)
  • Atari analog Paddle (2 controllers)
  • Atari video touch pad Keyboard
  • Amstrad Joystick
  • Amiga Joystick (up to 3 buttons)
  • Amiga Mouse (up to 3 buttons)
  • Commodore 64 Joystick
  • Commodore CD32 Joypad (7 buttons)
  • Coleco Vision Controller
  • Intellivision Touch pad (16 buttons)
  • MSX Joystick
  • Sega Genesis Joypad (3 and 6 buttons)
  • Sega Master System Joypad (2 buttons)

Specs and software can be downloaded here: http://www.retronicdesign.com/

This new hardware version was designed with compatibility in mind. Every pin is reconfigurable so new firmware can be built to support much more devices.
Design will stay open source so anybody out there can contribute to this quest for retro gaming pleasure!

Price is 29.99$ CAD (16,66GBP) for one and 49.99$ CAD (27,78GBP) for a two pack.

You can order them directly on the web site at www.retronicdesign.com or by sending me a PM request here.

Cheers!

To sell these on AmiBay you need to state an asking price otherwise the thread will be removed.

They are priced at 29.99 US dollars for one pack and 49.99 for a double pack and probably postage on top, I didn't read much of the page as I'm doing something else while browsing ;)

I think the OP will sort it out when he realises the mistake in leaving out the price :)

Hi, does the new firmware version still supports AmigaOS 4.1 (I'm not gonna use it anywhere else)? I believe that they are available right now to order one?

Yes, they are. Firmware is similar, except on DB9 side where more features were added.
I had so much retroaction and demands on this product that I decided to build something really universal.
Some clever ones out there could even build a DB9 to NES, SNES or whatever cable to support any existing controller within this adapter.

Cheers!

I am sure it will work with my Fav Joystick of all time called ZIPSTICK :D

It does work on USB 2.0 port?

This would be much more awesome if there was a hub/switch version :)

Hum... What do you mean?

Thought it was pretty clear?

I mean it would be good if there was also a hub version for multiple inputs with a switch so that we could switch from pad to pad. For example in case of emulation we could have multiple original joypads/sticks attached and switch from one to the other depending on which system we was playing on. Yes we can simply just use one PC or DB9 pad for all emulators but it would be really cool to have multiple original pads all hooked up and ready to use with respective system :)

I know we could probably just use a standard hum with switch and then buy multiple of these adapters but then it would be more expensive/ugly. A cheaper AIO option would be nice ;)

Good idea but... Just producing theses cost a lot in time & investment. I would suggest to buy few adapters and put them on a USB hub. I can do something about the price for 4 and up! ;)

How much for 5? :)

for 5, including shipping, I would let them for 110$CAD (61.20GBP)
A standard 5 port USB hub would then be your next investment! ;)

Ok, thanks, will be in touch once ready to place order :)

Small packet received today, that was really fast, thanks a lot, but I will be able to test it next week on my X1000 though.
