Newbie from Glasgow

Feels like first day at a new school! Just thought I would say hello to everyone. My mother named me Peter so don't blame me, I've come to accept it.

My passion is for anything Amiga, I spend way too much on it and need to get down to actually using some of it. Got my flat refurbished so no excuse now not to set up some of my stuff properly.

Picked up an A3000 with 8meg of ram for £100 so hoping to remove the battery and give it a good wash, weird way that boots up with kickstart 1.4 roms and superkickstart floppies. Also got that 'Amiga Intern' book, suspect life is too short to read it though.

At the weekend I put a Mega Midget Racer into my A500 and as long as I press it down really hard it works, that was the shortest session ever, I don't have the muscle power to last five minutes and the 68000 started burning my hand, I suffer sometimes for my passion!

I'm recently returned to the land of Amiga myself and doing more reading Amiga than actually doing Amiga at the mo, but this site is great, with a great community!

Caratacas. I got back into the Amiga a few years ago now myself but I remember distinctly how much I had forgotten, if you get my drift? Edit a script file? AmigaDOS command structure, how do you 'Dir' again. Devs/mountlist now what was that all about again, now there's a thing, should probably be Devs\mountlist, back-slash, forward-slash, I can't remember!

Still need to read over my old books a bit, at east they are cheaper these days, so have fun.

Thanks for all the great welcome's folks! I am even honoured to have some VIP interest, blessed indeed. Some nice kit in your hands. I have most an A1200 tower kit except - the tower case, AmigaKit all sold out. Suppose I could lay it out flat on a desk! Strictly, look but don't touch I fear - zap! Promises to be fun, so thanks again fellow retros.
