Kickstarter: Non-Destructive Commodore 64c Raspberry Pi Conversion Frame

My son has been enamored by kickstarter and really wanted to put something out there. So, we figured we'd do something Commodore related with a reasonable chance of some success. What we settled on is the 3D printable STLs for the Raspberry Pi framework (port closed version) as well as a new port opened version based on commonly available cabling. So far his contribution has been the creation of the video in the kickstarter. Not bad I think for 11 years old. He plans on working hard on this project, and I will put him to work!

Primarily the idea is to make the STL's available to backers for not only the 64c initially, but possibly other Commodore machine frameworks. There are numerous options available.

Anyways, we'll see how it goes. Love it or hate it, there's one young boy pretty excited about it!

Very cool. Your son and you have my support for the open port set! :-)
At what stage will you be providing possible sources for the cables?

I was starting to wonder what kind of aftereffecs-wiz the kid was until I saw "iMovie" in the end. That explains it. But great nontheless. :)

Thanks for your guy's comments.

I'll be providing link/examples of the cables I'll be using as soon as I confirm they're working ok on the frame-open design.

I'll make sure the info is available in enough time for people to order them in advance from ebay vendors.

This is pretty cool. I'd be in if there was a breadbin version. If the kickstarter reaches that stretch goal, then I'm in for some breadbin Pi action. :)

We'd love your support... We might get there even faster if you didn't wait! :D

Thanks for your positive comment. The campaign is going well, seems to be growing a little more every day.

Hoping to hit some stretch goals so we can get some of the variants out to the supporters.
