I did a recap of the board, which has signs of corrosion (due to battery leakage), Probably some thorough cleaning could get it to work, I don't know.
 
Okay, thanks for investigating! I'm not really looking to repair more battery damage right now (been doing a lot of that lately...) so I'll pass. Also I did research the system a little bit and it looks like it's an 8086 machine, not 286 :)
