Noob question about Amiga 500 and LCD screen TV

I have an LCD screen TV from LG (Flatron M2794MP). It has the following input:
- S-video
-Component
-Scart RGB
-Scart composite
-composite
-VGA

I don't know much about the more technical thing. I just know I can play imported games from the US or JApan without problem (I live in Europe)

If I want to get back to the good old Amiga scene, is it possible to plug an Amiga 500 on my TV with a great picture quality?

What are my options??

You should be able to get a SCART lead for the A500 RGB/audio outputs and play without issue.

True. But personally I wouldn't be spending that sort of money if just connecting it to a TV to play games.

If hi-res Workbench screens were the aim, then yes...

You need to make sure that the SCART lead has been assembled with LCD TV in mind. The picture will certainly be good enough quality to play games.

The lead is also inexpensive and not a great loss if it does not work as expected (too many variables to say whether a specific TV will work well or not without testing).

BTW, I did this with both my A1200 and A4000 for a while before I purchased graphics board for both. It worked perfectly fine with a £10 SCART lead on 2 different LCD TV's.

What you heard relates more to LCD Computer Monitors, which usually can't go below 31kHz. LCD TVs with SCART are no problem at all and most will give you a great picture via RGB.
