Hello. I am currently looking for a NTSC Amiga 1000 side car ram expansion. Currently hook up for external floppy drives does not work and having the extra should help this problem abit with having more then one floppy. Thanks for your time, should have the money by the beginning to middle of next week just need to sell my Neo Geo AES system first.

Hi there, and welcome by the way! What you're looking for, does not have anything to do with color system (NTSC/PAL). But being from the US, just make sure you get something that suits your voltage (110V). That of course, in case the expansion draws external power.
Most ram expansions for the A1000 plug to the side-port, and don't mind if you have an NTSC or PAL A1000.
The external floppy by the way, should have nothing to do with extra RAM, a stock 512k A1000 can manage. Troubleshoot your external drives, and make sure there's no wrong settings for any possible switches on them...
If in doubt, find someone near you with any model Amiga, and test the floppies on theirs!

Thanks. Are you saying that some ram expansion get the power straight the computer itself.

Pretty much all the a1000 ram expansions I have seen are powered by the a1000.

Unless they have an on board SCSI controller I cant see whey they would need extra power.

I have a Comspec AX-2000 available. It's 2MB, autoconfigures, and has a passthrough. $50 +ship.

thats exactly what I was looking for, could you post a picture though so I can see what shape it is in to make sure it is the model I am looking for. Also might be a week or two before I could get the money for it, does it run off of 110-120v, just double checking. also do you use pay-pal.

Great, can't wait to get all of this. It will be the centerpiece of my vintage collection. Plus my 80's room once I move into my college rental, already has a vinyl and laserdisc player. Does it still have the cover for the front side. Thanks again.
