I'm looking for an Amiga 1200 NTSC. Not being terribly picky on the internal specifics, other than is has to function.
:D

I have a general question. Would a PAL Amiga 1200 be able to be converted easily to an NTSC machine, by either soldering a pad on the mobo?

i would say they could be converted to ntsc, but that would require you know at least how to desolder and solder parts in place and have a understanding of schematics.i think.

I wonder if accurate technical information exists out there.... hmm... Still wanting an Amiga 1200.

Opps, n00b mistake sorry.

I take it that your only option is to hook it up to an NTSC television?

I do have a 1084S monitor that will handle the PAL signal, but the PSU, needs to fit in our plugs, too...LOL

I got one of the NTSC motherboards from Vesalia, I can confirm that they are genuine and work well and even include an NTSC TV modulator. Of course I had all the other parts as well (A1200 case and keyboard). For the PSU, I modified (read: added an Amiga plug) a brand new PC AT one (NCIX.com has them in stock!).

So, you might be able to get the mobo from Vesalia, and scour ebay for empty A1200 cases. Airey usually has them.
