I have an Nvidia GeForce 4 TI 4600 GPU for my Retro Win 98 PC that is in need of new caps. It went pop a while ago but stupidly I carried on using it, I now note that the fan is not spinning and the caps are noticeably leaking.

I think the GPU itself is OK as games do run but not for long as the card overheats. I should note that I do not have the caps.

Would anyone be willing to take this on?

Thanking you in advance.

Some pics if you are interested...

Have you got a pic mate? You could probably use a chipset cooler, grab one that's self adhesive or use the adhesive tape. I might even have something in my box of bits

Hi Steve and thanks for the offer of a cooler, yes I agree I could most likely do the cooler myself, not too hard, but it's finding one that fits, all the info on Vogons seem to suggest coolers that no longer exist, I would not want to tackle the recap myself though!

I have added pics to my original post.

Got the card back from Roy yesterday. Great job Roy as always mate. I fitted a stonking great heat sink and fan (most likely overkill for what is needed) and I'm happy to report that the card works perfectly. Caps look great and the heatsink fitted well too. Been playing a few games this lunch time, I am a very happy nerd!

Thanks Steve, yes it is a good fan, very big! much larger than the original one, like I say most likely overkill, but you can't keep a GPU too cool, right?
