I'm new here so I'd like to say hello and introduce myself in a brief and swift manner :).

I'm a 27-year old Commodore and Amiga user from Gdansk, Poland. Not a hardcore user I admit, as at some point I got carried down towards those nasty tin cans with windows and linuxes, but my head got stuck in the 80s and I can't live without things that remind me of good old times ;).

Browsing the forum I found out that my 'machinery aggregation' as I call it is way too modest to be considered a collection but still I'll take this opportunity to brag a bit and enumerate my C= hardware:

  • US-spec C128 with 1902A monitor, 1571 drive, 1670 modem and a Seikosha SP-1000VC printer - my first computer evah!
  • C64-II with a 1541-II drive (full working even though both were found outdoors all wet and dirty when I was taking out the garbage - who would do such an awful thing?)
  • A600HD supercharged with an Apollo 620 Turbo board and A601 RAM expansion plus MPS1270A inkjet printer
  • a complete CDTV set consisting of the main unit with Elbox memory expansion and KS 1.3/2.0 switch, black keyboard and mouse, remote pad, black 1411 external drive and my pride - the black 1084S monitor
  • CD32 console with ProModule expansion fitted with 8 MB of Fast RAM and 68882 chip
  • and my crown jewel - an A4000/040 Desktop with 16 megs of Fast RAM, which apart from Cybervision64 VGA card is pretty much stock
There are also lots of other stuff, some fully functional, some needing repair, there's a classic US-spec 1541 drive for instance, for which I look for a proper companion (an original grey & black C64 with 1701/1702 monitor from the US market), same story with a 1942 monitor that needs a bit of fine-tuning and a revitalised A1200 that doesn't work at the moment. Counting them all would take way too much precious bytes in forum database ;).

I love the whole idea of this forum-like market so I thought I would be a good thing to join. Even though my personal budget was severely hit by recession I'm not even thinking about selling my precious babies. Sure, I consider trading some stuff for other things I'm looking for but still I feel that I'll rather be an AmiBuyer than AmiSeller :).

Yours sincerely,
Paweł (Spav)

Hi Pawel,

Welcome to our little retro universe.

;)

Wow Gdansk, there's been a great many musical performances there in the past few years.

Lucky guy to live there, welcome to the forums. :)

P.s. Seems you got the same spec A4000 as me. Small world eh?
