Hello all

Adam here, just introducing myself. :picard

I first discovered the Amiga through a friend of the family, then of course had to have one myself, in the form of an Amiga 500 bought for me around Christmas time '93. Favourite games included Mortal Kombat 2 (probably my fave game of all time!), Cannon Fodder, Theme Park, Monkey Island, Worms, SWOS, Premier Manager 2, Champ Manager, Prince of Persia.. the list goes on and on!

Unfortunately, I somehow managed to fry the motherboard of my beloved 500 a few years later and gave up on it for a lowly 486 PC, then Playstation etc.

I've had a yearning for those games of old and caught the retro bug. There's a glimmer of hope the old Amiga may be up in the loft, but if not then I've found the perfect place to buy another and start up again (as emulators just don't cut it!)

Nice to meet ya.

Fried A500 mobo... :picard
Welcome and hunt yourself a "new" working one

:picard Indeed! If the old one is still in the loft I'm thinking about getting a new motherboard for it from amigakit...if not then, yes, a 'new' one will be just the ticket.

Thanks for the welcomes![/QUOTE]
Il have a look and see what I have, if I can find something you are welcome to have it for postage costs.

Excellent. Cheers for the tip mate! :thumbsup2:

I'll update in here as soon as I get a chance to check if the Amiga is still in the loft. Thanks again all!

Welcome Adam!

Apparently the Amiga got too many people (including me) in the "real" world of eye-catching and ear-catching gaming experience back to the days.

:D

Welcome to the home of Amiga nutters  we'll nuts for Amiga's. :D
