I just picked up a 486dx2 50 and was wondering if anyone had a working mobo that would fit this chip

also looking for a sb 16 card or similar (if anyone has a gravis ultrasound that too:P)

memory and a decent dos graphics card, i remember i had a cirrus logic one back in the day. If anyone has suggestions let me know

Is the sound card you're looking for the old-school ISA SB16? I've got one of those, just come in stock today.

Also, what socket mobo are we talking? I've got a Socket 7 AT board lying around somewhere, nice little transitional piece with SDRAM and EDO slots, PCI and ISA sockets. It's got a bunch of EDO RAM on it at the moment and I've no CPU to put in it.

The only rear panel connector off the board is a DIN for a keyboard, so you'll need something to plug a mouse into if you want that, but I do have a PCI VGA card for it so you can plug a monitor in.

I believe the 486 DX 2 runs on Socket 3 mobos. Skellionz should find a mobo first imho, and then go on searching for various cards according to that motherboard's available expansion sockets. (ISA/PCI)

I have all of the above needed items, lemme check tomorrow :)
and yeah, 486 and relevant cpus need a socket3 mobo, socket7 is for pentium+

Hi

I've got some EDO ram and a Cirrus Logic graphics card.
Interested?

Cheers

I am afraid I cannot find the 486 mobos I remember I had... I think I just gave them and forgot about it...

gravis inside :)

I see a Gravis UltraSound PnP Pro , a SB AWE64 Value (OEM version most likely, maybe dell/hp) and a Roland RAP-10 (this one is GM-only, 4MB samples, basically a SCD-15 + sfx engine like the soundblaster - not compatible but it does make sfx in games that worked with it)

I might have some old mobos, gotta dig em out though...
Have already found a Socket 2 mobo, which sadly will not take your cpu.
Just give me some time to search for more stuff..Only shipping costs of course. :)

I know it took long, but i just now found these:

Dunno the exact model of the mobo, but the graphics card is a VESA bus type Trident, which appears to fit on the board.
The BIOS chip is marked 486dx, so it might work for you. If you're interested, just PM me to arrange shipping.

It's 10,50 Euros for plain ol' postal service. But it will be a few days till i manage to visit the Post Office again, i hardly made it today having a cold.. :(

I would expect some contact till now, anyway this is going to the recycle bin in a minute..
