Hello all,

I have sold my HD TV to my parent. Now I am going for new TV this week or wait until Black Friday Sale come to it.

I am not sure which TV Should I go for because for some reason.....it is diffcult tell the difference between OLED TV 4K HDR and UHD TV 4K HDR as I suppose OLED TV 4K HDR had better colours as far I am aware of.

I heard that OLED TV 4K used to have screen burn but now seem to be fixed by Wpix(I havnt got right spelling for it) but I am sure you know what I mean.

OLED TV 4K is very expensive as saying goes......you pay what you for where UHD 4K seem almost good.

The Brand of TV I usually look for are SONY, SAMSUNG and LG. I am not sure about other TV Brand like Panasonic and the rest!

So for Gaming.........which TV Should I go for?

Wasn't 4k invented for large TV's over 60" so you still get a high definition picture. Don't see why anyone would want 4k smaller than that?

I have been reading on TV 4K informations on the net and yes, you are right as it need be at least 65" to see the Full 4K but one things that is very confusing for me is....you got

ULTRA HD
ULTRA HD Certified
ULTRA HD premium

All I want to get is True 4K TV but with all the name I have list above is Confusing!

Then you also got

OLED TV
QLED TV

In old days, you go and buy the TV without having worrying about TV Specifications such as if had dolby atmos sound or had got HDR or had got True 4k or upscale 4k tv!

Thats not really true tho. TV manufacturers always liked it when they could confuse people with marketing gimmicks.

As far as mid-to-higher end TVs are concerned you really _really_ need to go out and see it with your own eyes. Tech geeks can give you good advice to what to look for, what models are worht it compared to the rest but 4K vs fHD and Samsung QLED vs LG OLED vs better IPS or PVA panels is a matter of taste and perception.
As in you may like the "sharpness" of 4K, or you may not even notice it from a distance, you may enjoy the infinite contrast ratio of OLED but you may find it oversaturated, so paying the price premium is worthless.
Tl;dr is go out and find a show room with decent selection of television sets you may be interested in. If you are lucky they werent just thrown in, but were tuned for best picture quality, and the good people there will properly introduce them to you. You may not want to purchase there, only take note of the manufacturer and model numbers then buy online for cheapsies:p, but you really need to actually see it for your self beacuse its a terribly subjective topic.

Thanks for interesting informations cskamacska :)

Two things does bug me when come buying TV are
Panel Bit Depth(I think it is do with accurate colours but not sure) and Panel Frequency? I think it seem how smooth is it if you compare 50hz vs 100hz TV when come watching sport and I am not sure if you would notice if you were watching it.

When I first post it as I don't think I have explain it well

What I would is that I do watched bit of sport and sometime Movie but most of time is gaming with my PS 4 or Xbox one X(Low input lag is must and also less motion blurs too!)

So if come choice of buying TV(Sony/LG/Samsung) for say £500 or £600 Budget(I don't mind paying bit more). I am looking for best picture for all round would be nice if possible.

I have a 55" Sony Bravia KD-55XD7005 4K Android tv. It wasn't cheap at about £900 when i bought it approximately two years ago but it is a full 4K HDR capable tv and had good reviews. I settled on this one cause it had 4 hdmi inputs (only two support 4k and the other two are 1080p) but also had AV and most importantly Scart sp i could still use my Amiga/Consoles via RGB. Some of them look terrible but some still look good. 4K HDR viathe PS4 Pro and Xbox One X look amazing though and Netflix in 4K is also pretty impressive.

Reviews were good and the only fault i have with it is the Android side of the TV can be a bit slow. Sometimes the tv gets a bit bogged down and can take more than a few attempts to switch inputs lol

thanks for interesting Feedback scrappysphinx.

I had good look round for 4K TV as I had choice between Samsung, LG, Sony(I did research on all 3 TV spec) then I decide get Sony for change(this is one I look for https://www.richersounds.com/tv-projectors/all-tvs/sony-kd49xf7073su.html) but I am not sure on Sony Feets stand thought

I had similar worries about the stand on mine (see the picture) but it's been fine. It's withstood my two daughters jumping/dancing/running around and a cat that likes to jump over it and lay behind it for the warmth.
