Original Xbox console Help

Looking for some help/info on my x box original. It all works fine but when I hook it up to my computer monitor I get the picture in black and white.

Now I have one of those scart to HDMI converters from e bay and it does give good results with all my machines from my Amiga to megadrive and so on but I just can't get the X box to do the same.

Messing about with all the settings in the x box has not helped at all so I am wondering if I need some other converter.

Any ideas what I need or can be done would be thankfully received.

i have the same here, on my monitor it is b&w but on my 32" LCD TV via scart it is perfect.

maybe one of those GBS8220s could be the answer?

Are you running the console in 50 (Pal) or 60hz (NTSC)?
Don't know whether it would be any help just the only thing i could think is the converter might not like one or the other setting?

I have had the console in all settings it has and all seem to cause the B and W. But one thing that is odd it can boot into the settings in B and W as well at times and it is ok in other settings.
But that GBS8220 that Justin suggests could be an idea. Cheers for the help.

Is your xbox softmoded?? If so, please run Enigmah Video Switch and try before spend money!!

Cheers bus quick google search and I got the file and gave it a go. Now working great in NTSC on my computer monitor.
