parcel2go live help !

If you want good solid 9-5 operation though then it's very hard to beat the offers that P2G have on UPS both home and abroad.

I have to disagree about the 9-5. UPS seem to subcontract out where I am in Ireland so I get mine after 7pm when the courier, Tom, who lives in the village is on his way home

It's a damn long wait for a CPC 664 and hot-rodded ZX81

Do they only employ women on the live help? I am sure when I've used it before I was talking to a Sarah...

Ah well I can't comment on what goes on in Ireland, I've always found posting to Ireland a little odd as you get address like Alan So-and-so, Cork. How the hell the delivery guys get stuff to people in Ireland is beyond me:lol:.

I challenged a guy about his address once and he simply said "oh it's alright,... the postman knows me"

That made me Chuckle :D

Parcel 2 Go and Herpes, are absolutely ridiculous.

Ive had several 'live-chat' exchanges and they are a complete shambles.

During several 'live-chats', ive had them terminate the conversation even though ive always messaged them in a professional manner and never got irate.

Just a complete joke. Its easier to post via Royal Mail and pay the extra, whatever that may be.

That wasn't me with the Dreamcast was it?

I hope the Postwoman knows me, she's my neighbours Mum and was giving me tips on the best place to grow tomatoes last Summer  Otherwise everyone is someones cousin over here

Not had an issue with Hermes personally, although I always feel some kind of dread when I post parcels using their 'services' :picard

The worst I've come across in terms of parcel delivery is Amazon via Royal Mail. The packaging is truly awful - I've tried telling them several times but they just won't listen! Still, at least their customer service is second to none and they actually sort things out in the end. Yesterday they sent me a CD and a small bottle of roll-on deodorant wrapped together in a cardboard sleeve - guess which item was pretty much trashed? (I got a refund on their £9 'express' delivery at least)

As I kinda hijacked this thread a little bit, I feel I should post the ending to my story. As advised by the chat-box-lady, I sent a rantagram to the email address she suggested. Heard nothing the rst of the day or over the weekend, but just in the last few minutes, I've had an offer from them:

£somefigure cash, by bank transfer
£somefigure+£5 in "parcel2go credit" ie, so many pounds worth of free shipping. Naturally, I chose the cash. Sweet.

I have to say though, I have not provided any photos or proof of any sort to them, they've just offered me the rebate without a word of argument or proof. I'm really quite pleased.

I got the smashed games back in the post today, someone really did a number on them. The cases may be trashed, but the games are still good, so I'm chalking this one up as a win.

parcel 2 go are garbage - service is shocking when it goes wrong. I think i may still hold the record for the longest delivery yet from them 3 months!

to get them to actually look into my complaint i had to fake apply for a job on their site and write my complaint in part of the application form, only then did they respond and then someonone tried to force me to take a one time only compensation offer. bunch of cowboys

it did all get resolved in the end though, only because i must be the most stubborn person in the world and refused to let them get away with being crap
if you fancy a read its all here: :)

still have them telling me that the compensation people are looking it to it and should contact me soon via email and my account.

pretty shoddy service honestly.

The savings in ££ for using them is not worth the stress + health risk in blood pressure :picard

ok days of live help suxs.
then i had an email adress they told me to email, they just sent me arround in a loop, which lead me back to where i was to start it..

finaly called them this morning, and the guy was helpful and courtious. and got the ball rolling finally.
just checked on it now and it had "awating info" so i decided id just call this time instead of the whole live chat and email palava.
a lady answered and said "just give me 1 minute"
and off she went some where.
i waited 2 maybe 3 mins max. and she came back saying she had just been to the claims department and to check my account now.

and sure enough all had been approved and i just had to accept the offer.
i had made a claim for £50 which i though was all i would get, but the offer was for £58.xx so i was happy to accept it. apparantly my claim also included other costs and stuff like the price of the postage and signed delivery and so on.
and was approved for up to £63.
so it all worked out ok in the end.
it seems that you just need to not talk to live help at all. and not to bother sending an email as it seems they are put there to deliberatly make your life difficult in the hope you give up or they run you arround long enough so the claim deadline is over.

As I said repeatedly calling on the phone is the only way to get anywhere with P2G. It does seem more and more today that people are terrified of the phone. There is a reason for that which is we can avoid emails, we can be more easily evasive in emails and with emails we can deal with the content as and when we can be bothered,... Well that is how companies deal with it too. Get someone on the phone who knows how to communicate and is trained to resolve the problems right there on the spot and not some monkey hiding behind a keyboard that is only capable of following a script

I once had to pay an extra fee of 200 swiss francs when using them. I still don't know how that happened.

 I actually had a good experience last week. The website wouldn't apply the 25% promotional discount and they sorted it all out for me and offered to refund the different to source or give me the amount + €3 (it was only a small amount) to the pre-pay account.
