I buy from Notatech all the time, because my local store in Portsmouth (their main warehouse branch) is only 10 minutes up the road, so great to grab anything I need.
 
people shouldn't be intimidated by building a pc, its a lot easier than people think and mostly plug and play. A lot different from when i was doing them in the mid 90's

oh and scan is my retailer of choice :P plus people who are new to it can break stuff and be covered with scansure for not a lot of cash ;)

yes you can build a pc that is good enough to do most things with 400 quid, but then again you can buy a graphics card or 1 cpu for that too :P different strokes

Yes, you can, but only if you are desperate for high end performance. Most people are generally happy with middle of the road performance, which a £400 PC will provide. This is very different to the mid 90's where you needed to speed £1000+ to get anything good enough to run the latest games.

Anyone who enjoys Command and Conquer should check out openRA. Its an open source modded version of the original Red Alert. Can play at 1080p res and everything its so much nostalgic fun! :D
