My Setup
Motherboard: ASUS Maximus IV Extreme
CPU: Intel i7 2600k
Ram: 16gb
GPU: nVidia GTX 1080

OK I realise that this is a little out of the ordinary request but I am just putting this out there to see if anyone can help me.

I am in need of some help overclocking my CPU, it's a i7 2600k which is getting a little old now so I figure if I can get a few more years out of it before upgrading then all well and good. I have tried several times to do this myself by looking at online tutorials etc but I just cannot for the life of me understand how to do it. I tried it a few times and all I succeeded in doing was make the PC unable to boot.

What I would really like is to get someone nearby (Bromley, South London) to come over (or I can bring the PC to them) and pay them to just do it all for me! Does anyone fancy undertaking this? I am happy to pay you the going rate whatever that might be. I have heard that this CPU can be stable up to 4.2Ghz.

Thanking you in advance.

not what you want to hear... I forgot the setup..

My i7 2600k is at my brother in laws back to stock speed, but when I had it was running 4.4ghz stable and cool due to water cooler , almost silent, only the GPU was the let down.

If I remember the mobo was very easy to overclock, simple slider bar (mouse bios) and let it calculate voltages etc.

First you need a proper air cooler or go for a aio watercooler like a h100igtx which I have my 2600k was running at 4.2 fine and has been up to 5+
