4870x2 was my sons, started to halt randomly at hdd detection, thought it was the motherboard , swapped motherboard no difference, tried another PSU still same , put in a spare 8800gt and booted into windows. So no idea what's wrong with it.

480gtx while I was playing monkey island suddenly froze, on reboot garbage on screen, windows still booted but corruption on screen, as per help here card was stripped naked and oven baked for 20 mins at 180c. Fresh ram pads and mx-4 paste on gpu and all working again for 3 weeks then garbage again. 180c was obviously not hot enough to reflow solder, I could not go any hotter otherwise the dvi connectors would start to melt. If you have access to hot work station I'm sure its fully repairable. (There is thread here about it)

Fault is while typing in postcode it froze. When rebooted asks to be connected to PC for repair. PC recognizes sat nav and tom tom software correctly detects memory usage and what maps are installed but it will not repair says been a problem try reconnect device.
