@Xanxi, this effort for the GG2s needs a boost! As in, how about you ping him and tell him you need 10, not just 1. You know there will be quick takers. Yours free for your effort. Us 9 cover the cost of your board for the effort. He will be more inclined to respond to a demand for volume vs. one unit to many. Become his amateur distributor. :-)

Yes i have written to him again yesterday but go no answer in a long time now.
If he reappears, i will show him the interest here.

Ive ordered the IC, building a switch box as soon the chip arrives.
I have the parts in my order list, however yesterday I was thinking, would it be able to handle higher resolutions on the Amiga side (higher than 1024x768), I get the feeling its not designed for RTG cards and more for regular Amiga output to a multisync monitor. Did you get the Max chip from China?

Was thinking of using a modern Murata replacement for the DCDVD -5 converter.

I ordered ic from Aliexpress, chinesium yes. New IC can still be ordered in smd versions it seems, from Digikey etc. I use 1024x768 max, so that's fine.

It is similar to Ratte switch so i think it can handle RTG. 1024*768 is also what i usually use for workbench with classic RTG boards, except more powerful cards like V2 and Pistorm which can do better with ease and do 16/10 res.

My boards can also do higher, but 1024x768x256 gives the best speed/icon size/practicality in my opinion. My board back in the day could do 1600x1256x256, but not practical.

I tend to run 1280x720 (at least 16bit on Z3/256 colors on Z2) since IMHO WB does not scale that well on higher resolutions, that way I get widescreen resolution which is nice with DOpus5 and not too hard on eyes.
