I guess I'll continue here once I've got new ones available.

Also considering a "constant 3.3V version" for those with the flimsy Mediator regulators...
My 4000Di 3.3v Mediator regulator is pure garbage so that would be great. Its temperatures run somewhere between unacceptable and about to burst into flames! 🔥
:ROFLMAO:

@tom79 due to the thread being marked as sold you can not declare interest because there is no Declare Interest button

You have to wait for the thread to be remarked as "For Sale" if the seller adds more stock.

If the seller does do this your current declaration is void and not seen in the interest queue at the bottom of the thread

In that case the post should be removed.

Why when its marked as "Sold" the seller has also indicated that he may do a second batch around September time.

Threads on Amibay get archived once all feedback is completed they are not completely removed. The only time a thread is removed/deleted is when it is in violation of the rules.

You can watch this thread to get notifications on any updates and then declare interest if the seller does add more stock.

You may ask why has it not been left up as "For Sale" if seller has indicated more stock available later? well remember that the members on here are hobbyists not commercial vendors and make these in their own time. We have seen if left like that, the declaration of interest keeps happening and can be overwhelming for the seller and they can't keep up with the demand. This way the seller is in control of how many items they would like to make without these pressures.

Some sellers do it differently and do a build-on-request option but would still have a limit on how many they are willing to assemble. once assembled, then the seller will contact the interested party.

Hope this explains why the thread is still up and not archived.

May I also suggest doing a "Wanted" thread for one

Update: Following the overwhelming interest, I finally made a 2nd batch of PCI PMC carriers.

Some people who bought cards from the first batch experienced problems when trying to use the cards in newer Mediators. I redesigned the power supply of the carriers to eliminate this problem. The carriers will now always deliver up to 10 A to the PPC cards, independent of your PCI bus board.

To summarize, while designing the cards, I followed three main goals:
  • The carriers should strictly adhere to the PMC standard defined by IEEE and ANSI/VITA. I bought the necessary documents from these organizations and designed the carriers from scratch.
  • Solid 3.3V power supply for the PPC, being able to deliver 10A constantly.
  • Availability of components. I've learned in the past years that using components with sustained availability is essential. I tried my best to ensure future supply.

Following popular demand, the cards are now available in black only.

At the moment, I have 10 carriers available. More are in the works.

Please read the first post! Declare interest here (giving the number of carriers you need, if it's > 1), and follow up by writing me a PM with your location so I can give you a shipping quote.

Thanks!

Declaring interest.

Hi torsti76,

Thanks for answer
